I'm playing Pyke support despite not wanting to play support at all, I'm giving her gold with my ult and we're doing great. She AFKs in base. I'm like "Vayne?" She's like "Wut?" I said "Just checking if you're still there". She says "I got tilted because you keep KSing"(Let's ignore the fact that I'm pretty much the only reason she's getting any gold and the main reason we're getting any kills). I say "Do you not know Pyke's abilities? You get the gold from my ult...". She says "I want KDA" and leaves me alone in bot lane for the rest of the game in a 2v1 vs Soraka Twitch. We lose the game because there's no teamwork despite 4 of them being on the same club. Like WHAT?!

What's even worse is it was a Vayne and she was basically getting fed, we should have won that game.

Sadly a lot of people still have this KDA mentality that usually stems off of Shooter games where they believe that is the only thing that matters is the game.

You have to remember at the very least Pyke is still new so some people still might not understand. But you also have people who don't understand that Thresh lantern can save you, as well as what Relic Shield does!

Either that I'd this Vayne only wanted to up her Masteries (by getting S rank which for an ADC means getting kills) but that shouldn't be the reason to AFK!

as an ADC main i kinda have an insight into this.. ADC players are always shit on as the "cry baby" position.. and told we're "being babysat" but at the same time always expected to have these amazing numbers.. if you're an ADC and your KDA isn't positive (assist don't count for some reason) people will talk so much shit.. even if i'm 0/3/17 all they'll see is the 0/3.. and be like "You're such a bad ADC" blah blah blah.. and so that mindset gets burned into us, that we have to have this amazing KDA or else we aren't contributing (even if we're helping in other ways)

ADC is a thankless role.. you're expected to carry (literally in the name Attack Damage Carry), but at the same time noone wants to help you get fed enough to make it happen.. people are really toxic to ADC mains for this reason, then get upset when we get toxic back because of how toxic they are to us.. and WE get labeled the toxic role..

so even if you're a good player and YOU realize that the ADC doesn't have to have the kills, they're probably worried about how other people are gonna look at them.. they wanna save face and have this amazing KDA..

the boards are so guilty of this.. anytime you make a good argument, someone will go and look at your match history and KDA and judge your entire point on that, even if your match history doesn't reflect your skill at all..

unfortunately KDA doesn't reflect skill because of situations like this one..

anyway.. i'm sorry that happened to you..

Usually people who focus purely on KDA are toxic people who don't really have the feeling of accomplishments in real life, so they force their mentality into videogames and rely on KDA's to feel good about themselves

Someone told me this in game, "No I suggests some one dodges this shit because I plan to fuck over this jg all game". Still no report card. Oh and it gets fucking better, this was the 3rd match in a row with this player saying and doing the same thing, yay for RIOT...dumbass bitches. I said nothing, yet he still isn't punished, and I went don't a series because of him. Yup, fuck riot and fuck their match making.

I get sick of it 2. Let me tell u that if ur the support and u are getting nearly every kill. u gonna lose that game . Assist gold isn't worth a fuck to an adc . So what u have effectively done is neuter the adc for the rest of the game. what u fail to get is how much money it takes to get an adc rolling. im not ssying that I would afk in base though that a little extreme, but u def not getting any honors
