Is it just me or does Riot not take safety into account when balancing champions?

I've been feeling for a long time now that Riot doesn't take safety into account when balancing champions. There are champions who have an easy reliable escape like Zed who deal just as much damage if not more than champions who aren't as safe. It's incredibly frustrating to play a not-so-safe champion, almost kill somebody when they make a mistake, only for them to moonwalk away like nothing happened. Yet if they caught me in the same situation I'd be dead for sure with no hope of escape. It doesn't feel like there's any sort of equivalence to the skill and effort required to succeed, or the reward for doing so, because of that. Does anyone feel like Riot just doesn't consider safety to be something to balance around and just throws safety in on top of everything else without concern?

Zed can either poke or have an escape lol. No idea why boards is obsessed with him hes not even good right now compared to other champs outside of low elo. Hes probably the most balanced assasin in the game because he has 0 kill pressure in lane if you dodge all his qs

because mobility is not accounted for in a champion´s power budget nowadays. The idea is when everyone has bullshit mobility it cancels itself out completely ignoring the fact that there are still champions left who don´t have 3 dashes, blinks, invulnerability, stealth and what not. But fuck them as long as they are still somewhat playable in higher levels of play where people actually group, focus, play their matchup, don´t overextend and peel correctly.

"but mobile champs don´t have hard cc"

firstly the recently introduced mobile champs actually get cc on top off all the bullshit they already have. secondly who needs garbage hard cc like vel´coz E if you can have a spell that can function as engage and disengage tool, while also being great at covering up positioning mistakes. Well, the answer is teamfights, but if your team has already lost the game before it could even come to something you could call a teamfight, then you are shit out of luck because all your efforts to farm up and to not die to that early game champ were in vain. Welcome to solo-que btw!

mobility and stealth are such soloque-stats because they give so much more agency over the lane and the game, compared to an immobile champ whos one hard cc can´t really compensate for that.

but I guess the reason they are not nerfing mobility is that it´s bearable as long as you and your entire team do everything to counter it, but as soon as someone slips up it becomes broken. so it´s technically not broken just unfun and toxic to play against.
