Can Someone Explain What I'm Doing Wrong On Leona?

Two games in a row my ADC got Tresh hooked + Bard stunned at level 1 and took about half of their health in damage while I stood rather helplessly to the side and then raged at me to get out of their lane because it must be my first time playing Leona.

Like, am I supposed to just sit in front of the minion way to make the enemy ADC fear the possibility of my flash stun while eating enemy auto attacks?

I'm a-okay with an all-in at level 2 when I actually have a way to get to the enemy ADC in order to stun them, but I'm very confused as to what plan of action I'm supposed to be taking at level 1.

Leona is virtually worthless at level 1.

ADCs need to learn that it's okay to farm passively for a while. Leona shines at level 2, so the faster she gets there, the faster you can get to smacking people.

If your ADC gets hooked or stunned, it isn't your fault. Ignore them, they are in the wrong and are trying to blame you instead of owning up to their mistakes. They should have dodged the skillshot, not expected you to tank it for them. As much as the ADC wants to blame you for not dying to take minion aggro to stun them, it isn't at all your fault if they are too stupid or lack the mechanic skill to dodge a skillshot, that being said, until you can level 2 all in, either stand in that bush, or ward the bush so they can't get easily skillshot, create pressure.

You did nothing wrong. Leona's only option at level 1 is to chill until level 2 unless you get a Blitz to deliver you to their ADC. If they're whining at you because they can't manage to avoid harass for a single level, I'd just mute / ignore them and play. Not your fault playing with some intelligence for 60 seconds is too tough for them.

Yeah, it's the ADC's fault he took harass, and yes he was just venting his frustration at his failure on you, but that doesn't mean you could't have been useful. You could've actually tried to stun one of them. You could've been standing close enough to your ADC to be able to do something. Being level 1 isn't an excuse to just sit in the god damn bush and avoid everyone. If you aren't near your ADC, you're basically inviting the enemy to jump on him.

Instead of standing helplessly doing nothing you could try doing 'something.'

E or Q (depending on what you got first) the most pushed enemy champion. Divide the enemy's attention / damage. Odds are you're more resilient than an ADC & preventing your ADC from taking all of the damage of an early trade, or dying from an all-in falls under the purview of Leona's job. The faster you react to the hook / stun / whatever - the more likely you are able to make the trade even, and perhaps even push it into your favor.

So, yeah, maybe you deserved the rage.
