Don't get Mark/Dash unless you have a genuine reason for diving into the Enemy Team.
Ranged ADC/AP Caster at Melee Range is Dead ADC.

Except it can be used on minions which can be used to re-position in team fights. It can also be used to snipe low health champions as well as to catch up to that escaping champion who is trying to deny your penta.

^this.
It's also good damage/poke.
That's sarcasm, right? I really want to believe that this is sarcasm...

Honestly no, compare it to the damaging summoner spell:
which does 410 damage at 18 on a 210 second CD, compared to just the mark part of
which gives you 100 true damage on a 40 second CD, but as a skill shot with more range and no Grievous Wounds. So you can get 5 marks in for every ignite, assuming you land them of course, this is a good bit of more damage, if you add in the dash the damage is significantly more (double the damage and you can get over 6 in for every ignite if you're diving like this, which I do not recommend.)
There's also the ability to reposition with it, ARAM is a balls to the walls kind of game, you've never dove the enemy team as an AP carry and then marked back to a minion?
There are a lot of arguments for it but of course it's perfectly fine to take heal or ghost too, just try not to be so closed minded.
what about true vision and repositioning
I actually found it some what useful as a Retreating tool, should the enemy try to dive you.
So many time have I tried to go in as Garen, or Mundo, (enter low CC tank here) With basically no way to stop the enemy Assassin from diving my team, preventing them from following up with my engage.
And that's my only real problem with Mark/Dash. The line of scrimmage completely falls apart.
