Jungle has been nerfed to the point that duo Top has become a good strategy again.

Traditionally Players used a dedicated jungler, so that the solotop gets more XP and the team has more XP in total. But now, I the Jungler often ends up being lower level than the support, invalidating that strategy.

On the other hand duo lanes get +30% total XP, so a duo toplane now is usually ahead of the enemy solotop and jungle. Add the fact that Smite has become usable even in lane, you don't loose any object control either.

What do you say?

Well I have a few... Just a few... Complaints about it becoming real. 1: I'd hate having to farm Melee Top lanes. Plus That'd see a huge rise to double ADC Double Support games, And I don't want to see Vayne and Varus on the same team... Ever. EVER!

Other than that, if the meta was two melee's or even a melee and a support I'd be just fine with it.

Unlikely. You're still very likely going to be behind in experience, and you will absolutely be behind in gold unless you completely and utterly destroy the enemy solo laner. You're also opening up your jungle camps to the enemy jungler, which can make up for the lack of experience that junglers usually have. Finally, you're kind of consigning your mid and bot lane to likely losses because they have to deal with the risk of jungle pressure and the enemy laners don't.

Has some advantages. Carries major risks. Generally going to be an inferior strategy, although you could always technically make anything work.

yeah it's pretty terrible...the worst of it that i've been noticing is since they made the jungle suck for the past month a lot of people abandonned it, now in my games i have junglers that don't have a clue what they're doing, don't pressure lanes, don't farm well, can't itemize...and then the game is just lost

I still feel that not having a jungler would be a HUGE disadvantage. Without a jungler, you miss a few key things

  1. You miss ALL pressure that a jungler provides, allowing any lane with a shove advantage to freely shove without fear, and save money on wards while they're at it, which will lose your lanes CS under turret

  2. You lose the opportunity to gank losing lanes to equalize them again or get a lane ahead

  3. You most likely lose smite, which is huge for dragon and Baron unless you want to lose a summoner spell in lane

  4. You allow the enemy jungler a ton of farm, 4 buffs, and absolutely free reign of all points on the map, giving you more places to ward since it is very likely he is in your own jungle all the time as well.

I'm sure there are some advantages to duo top, like the 2v1 lane, however the loss of a jungler, even considering the support level gold that jungles have, is not worth losing the massive pressure you gain from just having a jungler.
