You can't be autofilled during your promo series.

I just was.

When in promo series (between tier or division), players will be guaranteed one of their two selected roles

If you were autofilled, that sounds like a bug.

I setup bot/mid, I got bot. Someone dodged. I got bot again. Someone dodged again. I got support...

And the sad part is, that recently i setup Fill voluntarily like 20 games in a row. Then i setup adc/mid, i got adc. The next game i setup adc/mid again, but this time it showed me that i may autofill. Kind of sad...

Report the bug, we understand that it happened.

I was autofilled during my series too. I can comfirm op.

Yeah but other people can. Nothing like having a mid lane main being forced into support to completely fuck up your game. I'll TAKE the wait.

Report a bug then, you aren't supposed to be autofilled during promos.

People can claim that we need to learn all 5 roles all they want, but if someone doesn't enjoy a role, they're just going to troll, whether it's an unconventional champion or taking CS from the ADC.

Some people don't mind filling Support... maybe if we picked 3 roles that would be better. So the people who HATE support have a less chance of getting it, while the people who are ok with support but don't wanna play it if they don't have to can play it and still be ok. Can even pick 4 roles, exclude the one role you don't want to play. This will prevent someone who doesn't like to jungle from jungling.

A reluctant jungler is more hurtful to a game than a reluctant support.

Sure, but learning all five roles does more than allows you to play them in case of autofill. It helps you understand what your teammates are capable of, and it allows you to understand you enemies in other lanes better, and lets you make all kinds of cool plays.

Although I completely agree, it would be nice to get a "fill except" option, that way people can avoid being autofilled into absolutely their worst roles.

They should just give the option to disable autofill completely if you want to. There is nothing more frustrating than having to play support with a completely incompetent adc. You can do literally nothing but hope that the other lanes carry you or the game ends quickly

Thats a bug.

Autofill should be removed entirely, it is a terrible idea. I'd rather wait an extra 2 minutes to play what I want rather than be forced to do something I hate for 30.

okay, how would you solve the bottle necking problem?

If you don't know what the bottle necking problem is, then you don't understand how that 2 extra minutes would soon grow into 30 minutes.

Auto fill is suppose to fix that problem, but at the moment, it's buggyness has lead to player frustration. But Q times would go through the roof if you just scrapped it. The only other alternative to fixing the problem is to scrap role selection all together and go back to pick order. (And that would still potentially put you in a position you didn't want.)

I'm still getting huge queue times, not because of bottlenecking, but because I get into champ select and someone gets auto filled a role they don't like and dodges. Last night it happened 6 times in a row, and some of them even waited until in game to do it. So I do not think autofill is solving the problem. They mentioned possibly allowing to choose the role you don't want in addition to primary and secondary, what happened to that idea?

The thing is, bottlenecking in queue forming fixes itself. when the estimated time for your role-queue rises, then peoplw ill eventually stop queueing for it because they dont want to wait that long or they feel like they simply dont ahve the time. bottlenecking will occur but not on "queueing for hours" for most of the players.

I really don't mind having to play a different role once in a while but having to play your promo's as an ADC with an troll auto fill support is just the most agonizing thing there is. even if you win those games, they still aren't enjoyable. I would rather spend 10 minutes in queue or queue as a support myself than having that in my promo's which is exactly what im doing.

Riot does not want people not playing. Most people would rather play a game as a role they don't like then sit in a Que...Learn the off roles you might like them.

autofill is the most stupid that rito has ever done.

Ragnarok Alpha2 votes

You'd rather wait 40 minutes for each game for which you don't have time because you only have 50 minutes? ( An example )

Daemonette2 votes

how about autofill being removed.
