Yup, I gave it a year.. I gave Riot one last chance. Everyone was saying to just wait for worlds, wait for some changes through the year.. I saw it coming the moment the runes went live and the non stop nerfs to towers etc. It's a snowball shit show of a mess... So much so, that even pro's are having difficult times coming back.

The final championship was the most boring pile I've ever seen in League. I really don't think Fanatic is that much worse, it's just the fact that they made 1 poor decision in drafting and got slammed, made 1 poor decision in early game, and got slammed. There was literally nothing they could do. It's unfortunate they did that, then by the third game, their opponents had their number.

I have to ask people, and Riot, wtf is wrong with a game that isn't snowbally? You know what seasons were the most fun to watch? When ANYTHING could happen.. When snowballing didn't exist. Anything could happen. THe opponent could get defensive, play defensive, and attempt to turn things around. You never knew who was gonna win any game regardless of how far behind they were. Those were interesting, and those made the world championships fun to watch.

Now its juts 1 team slowly snowballing then winning. By 10 minutes in I could tell which team was gonna win with a 90% accuracy.. Not fun. It's both boring as fuck to play, and boring as fuck to watch...

I feel like we spent this whole season waiting for bad changes to be addressed, or waiting for the next excuse to run out so that bad changes could continue to be ignored without excuse be addressed?

"Oh, it's just preseason" "Oh, this whole season is an experimental pre-season" "We have an idea for tower buffs. We'll do it next pre-season" "Oh, muh Worlds Meta"

The changes to the game that riot is proposing for season 9 won't fix shit, join me in playing maple story 2. The Maple Story 2 is a ton of fun, come back in a year or 2 maybe riot will have learned that runes reforged was a mistake and the game will actually be fixed. BTW I agree with everything you said.

The Koreans know how to throw a party. A shame that the final games were so dull.

All of these issues are being fixed in S9, riot knows snowballing stompfests suck.

Take a break, see what has changed in a few months.

When the "competitive meta" is just like solo Q, snowball one lane w/ a couple dogpiles, doesnt matter what lane, then since that lane is so ahead (probably took turret too) you roam w/ jg and outnumber. It made for the most fiesta shitshow worlds ever. It made it look like the losing team was complete trash almost every series.

G2 vs rng might have been the only actually good series.

I agree. The game was way better before this stupid Runes Reforged system. Riot is just all about the $$$ and not about the players.
