Ok, league most likely won't ever completely die. But its certainly going downhill faster than a fat kid in a barrel rolling down a hill..

2 years ago I tried making a new account to play with low elo friends, so I wouldn't pull them up into my elo or go up against mixed level of players.

Made another account a year ago to practice certain champs, and reset my ranked elo, I never actually followed through on this one, but I got it up to lvl 26.. Forgot why I stopped..

Then of course my main account started waaaaaay back in the day..

All those accounts were fun to level again to 30. Sure you got some afkers, a few trolls, once in awhile a smurf here or there, but essentially wasn't a bad experience at all.

Just started another one now, because I lost access to my current one.

Holy.. fuck.. is it a nightmare now...

50% of the games have afkers.. either full afkers, or they'll afk half way through the game..

30% of those games will be a remake because they'll afk right off the bat. (everyday I've had multiple back to back remake games... took me over an HOUR to get into a game that finished..)

40% of the games will have a super high elo smurf that roflstomps the entire game in the first 15 minutes, and your whole team is flaming each other of who fed the smurf harder...

10% of the games are actual legit games.. which still ends up sucking for various reasons because the game is such a cesspool of a mess right now...

If I started league this year... there's no way in hell I'd ever stick with it past a week... That's the point I'm getting at here... the experience for new players is such a trashy, unfun, and frustrating experience... there's no way league is bringing in new players much anymore, and many are leaving..

Edit: For added frustration, tried playing Nexus on my lvl 27 account.. Brand new game mode... 2 bots on both sides that afked the whole time on game #1.. Game #2, 3, and 4, were fine, and games #5, and #6 were yet again more bots afking in base....

I'd of uninstalled if I was new to league... hell I am heavily considering uninstalling...

Another "league is dying" thread... ok. At least this one has personal experience that can be drastically different from person to person than dumb generic statements that are exaggerated to hilarious proportions so kudos I guess

I can agree 100% with this. There are other ways you can see it dying out too. Take myself for example, a veteran player who has enjoyed and loved this game and played it religiously since before seasons were a thing. Im gone now, i quit a month ago. I do not plan on making a return, maybe in the future if Riot actually pulls their head out of their asses, but im not holding my breath on that.

There were people who told me i would be back in a week. Yet it has been a month and i have no desire to return, my life is actually better without this addiction, as games are just usually frustrating, or mildly satisfying at best.

If Riot is alienating their long time, loyal players, and cannot attract new players, then it seems pretty clear that this game is going the way of the dodo. And to be honest, what is wrong with that? Seriously. Maybe the death of this game will leave room in the market for a more competent and enjoyable MOBA. God knows im waiting for such a thing.

These were all on Summoners Rift in Draft Pick...

If it was Twisted Tree Line I'd understand it, that's been loaded with bots for the past 3 years..

Very early levels of like levels 1-15 even back in the day you'd see a higher than normal number of afkers by new players who weren't going to last longer htan a week in the game anyway...

but most of these games were at level 25-27 on Summoners Rift in Draft Pick..

I don't know if lower elo (then like gold) and stuff is the same way, but honestly it is way more toxic too. In some of my games people are kind of rude, but at level 15 or so I remember getting chewed out by my whole team for "feeding talon" or some crap because he roamed one time and got 3 kills lol.
