Lux isn't the problem. Just because you lost lane to a lux doesn't mean she is broken. The real problem is assassins and the new broken items.

Lux really is a problem. I main her when I play mid, and I think that she no longer can be considered a skill based champion. There's no risk involved in playing her. I pick her into lanes like Zed, Ahri, Talon even. There's nothing that stops her anymore. 2 easy changes is all it takes to rein her back in.

E, range and/or damage. The embodiment of no counterplay. I start with boots to try and counter this. No effect. If you want a CS, it'll cost you 100-300 HP each time.

R. Cooldown and hitbox. This is not an okay thing to be firing twice in a teamfight, with a hitbox that takes up about a third of the lane. Even without hitting it, it forces flashes and mobility skills, essentially making it a skill you don't even have to hit for it to be useful.

Overall, Luxanna is one of those "power creep" champs, who was either mildly buffed, or hardly touched, and just slowly starts rising as a meta shifts in their favor. At the same time, Lux's mix of damage and utility is too disproportionate. Riot's usual design flaws forgot her identity, so instead of being the long range utility caster she was, she's now a long range caster support assassin utility burst mage who can get a double kill with just E and R and still have Q to spare for peeling herself and a carry. I liked the Q change, but it should have been tempered in other areas of her kit. Another possible reason she's a lot stronger than before is because wards are no longer a viable form of counter-play to her. If you could see where she was you could drag the fight away from her so that you'd only have to deal with her ult and she'd be too far away to shield. Nowadays, all I do when I play lux is stand behind a wall, sometimes two, and throw all of my spells over them into a fight, and if by some off chance I get dove on, throw a Q and walk away. Worst case scenario I use barrier + W for a 600-800 damage shield. Lux has way too many options and, while her kit has room for fun, meaningful counterplay, it's overbearing in its current state. You can dodge her Q, flash her E and ult, and close that gap...then she'll just W+ barrier and spam her laugh...until her Q is up 6 seconds later

It takes me enough effort to climb my current bronze account. I dont have the time or patience to suck on multiple accounts.

Lux is only good when the meta allows her to be and trust me as a lux main all these picks are people who watched a redmercy video and just barely manage to hit skillshots or vs a zed or something.Lux has always been a burst mage so your "utlity support mage " ideal is very wrong. She takes a considerable amount of skill to go into a game knowing you'll dominate the lane because you know when to hit them. Also, the last buff she received was lowering q's mana cost by 10 mana at first rank 5 at the next 4 times.

If you think lux is broken and needs a nerf you clearly just suck at dodging skillshots and need to stop playing league. Although I will Give it to you.
