Hello community, I have realized that I have a hard time getting diamond, as a matter a fact I have reached platinum III for the fourth season in a row, and then it becomes incredibly hard. I've started wondering what could be the reason, especially since my KDA on full tanks is really good, 2.6 on my main, and 2.7 deaths (on average) on my secondary champion respectively. http://euw.op.gg/summoner/userName=The%20Cane%20Master

Then I have noticed that usually what loses me the game are my teammates, being significantly less skilled than the opposition. Now, that might seem as if I was ignorant to my own lack of skill, unfortunately that is not the case. What came up as a constant in the games that are practically unwinnable is that I was blue side. I started researching and I came to realize that BLUE SUDE ACTUALLY ALWAYS HAS LOWER TEAM MMR. Now granted that I am getting blue side in (at least) 80% of my games in this elo (Plat III-Plat II), I have had a really harder obstacle on progressing up the ladder. Now you too know that being assigned a particular side of the map has an influence on the difficulty of the game, that is if you are going to be on the better or worse (MMR) team.

You could check this for yourself in the loading screen, just go over at lolnexus.com and type your summoner name, you will start noticing something weird (unbalanced).

This balanced the fact that due to camera angles blue side had a 60% win rate. no joke.

Exactly, but Riot never stated the fact you said, nor they ever admit that purple side is a better team on average. As a matter a fact I've just contacted Riot support and they wouldn't admit it. http://imgur.com/P8i6NzY

Now when majority of the games you get one side (in my case blue), the odds of you and your team winning are not 50%. This is the breakthrough, and in my case it makes me stuck in plat III for the 4th year in a row.

A relatively simple/easy solution would actually have been to rotate the map 45 degrees, so the spawns are on the far left/right instead of bottom left/top right, so camera angles aren't different depending on which side you're on, or to allow the players to rotate the camera for themselves.

In HoTS, it's basically the former, though those maps also aren't square.

that's not simple in the slighest, that requires a huge recoding of how the camera works

Yes, but if it was balanced 50% of the games it would be blue side and other 50% purple side. However blue side ALWAYS HAS lower average MMR, while purple ALWAYS HAS higher average MMR. This is true both for ranked and unranked games, as you could see on the link provided.

It's to help counteract the fact that red side has a lower winrate. Camera angles really do affect the game.

I do think this needs to be addressed, though. In the long term blue and red sides have 50% winrates, but in the short term it can feel horrible. We need a way to remove the camera differences.

I didn't. I rarely downvote at all, honestly; I reserve that for stupidity resulting from stubbornness/narcissism. Lack of experience or knowledge is something to be fixed, not shot down.

Have I stated anything wrong? If not, how come my topic has negative points? Oh wait, because your answer didn't focus on my statement, rather the cause of it (camera angle), which is a constant in the game. Also I have posted this because Riot won't admit they they are using sides to balance the odds of purple vs blue side to win, BY GIVING THE PURPLE SIDE BETTER TEAM. This is also true for unranked games as well
