Is there a reason my 5-2-5 Kennen with two full AP items cannot one shot the caster minions?

I mean, considering the fact I have to literally walk into them in order to use my wave clear? The huge advantage with Rylai and Hourglass should be more than enough to clear it, given the risk I'm taking by over extending into the wave.
