What to do with PROJECT Loot left-overs?

I've been confused for the longest time of what to do with the PROJECT Chests, Cores, or the Icons after I used them to get the random skin shard. What do I do? Just disenchant them?

Just disenchant them for 2 orange essence each.

It's extremely unlikely they'll ever be used again in the future (otherwise there'd be lots of grumpy people regretting disenchantment, and grumpy players is not a good business strategy when there's no benefit anyway), so the only practical use is disenchanting for a little bit of orange essence.

That said, the orange essence is tiny and probably won't make the difference in ever being able to upgrade something, so you could also just have them sit around in your crafting inventory as a memento. (There's no guarantee they won't eventually just delete them though, so I wouldn't get too attached to them just in case they go away in a few months or something, although I doubt they'd bother.)
