OMG....Bronze is so hilariously bad, it's almost comical.
So the last year I played all my games in high Silver and Gold elo and I'm talking over 1000 games across multiple accounts. Well after the resets, one of these accounts ended up in Bronze elo, especially as I didn't try hard in placements, in fact I practically trolled by playing things I know I'm not very good at. For example, Nunu jungle. If I played 100 ranked games of Nunu, I will lose every single game. Nunu just doesn't click for me. I could NEVER win a game with Nunu no matter what I do even if I tried my very hardest. I do this to get placed as low as possible.
Anyways, the account currently sits in Bronze 3 with about the same MMR and OH MY GOD!!. I remember being stuck in Bronze once but GOD DAMN! I never realized just how bad this elo is. Now I'm not saying that Gold is good or that I'm some kind of god at the game but Bronze is a whole other level of bad.
So, why am I talking about this? It's not to complain. I can climb out of Bronze quite easily when I decided to "try hard". I guess I'm talking about this so that Bronze players struggling to climb out understand that you don't need to be that good to climb out. Bronze is so bad that you just need to be good at only a couple things to get out. So to all the players that are struggling to climb out of Bronze I urge you, take the time to practice some of the fundamentals. I strongly recommend you try to understand basic wave management and basic macro. Learn about trading. You don't even need to know how to do it properly. Just knowing that there is such a thing as trading puts you ahead of all Bronze players. Try to consistently get 6.0 CS/M and above. Learn to pay attention to the mini map and I don't mean once every 5 minutes, I mean you should be watching the mini-map every 5 seconds. And finally, get into the habit of respecting level and item advantages. Not respecting item and level advantages is one of the biggest reason Bronze players fail so hard. It's the reason smurfs from Diamond, Plat and sometimes even Gold can go in Bronze 4 and go 20-2 every game. These things I mentioned are all you need to climb out of Bronze. Good luck in Season 10.
