Taking away 10% of Eve's 60% pve CD refund is "overnerfing", and now you're going to overbuff her?

Hmm...

(60% CD refund vs monsters ---> 50% CD refund vs monsters) = (R bonus damage 100% --> 140%)????

#HMMMMM.

In what world is a 20% buff to her total R damage SMALLER than 10% CD refund vs monsters only? Or are you saying you're going to intentionally buff her to a state where she requires nerfs again?

WTF is wrong with the balance team? Nothing excuses the logic behind these changes.

The balance team actually needs to be replaced.

This is such an obvious red flag for the department's integrity.

The CD refund affects clear speed, which is pretty damn important, especially at high tier.

However, the damage buff isn't actually going to change much on her. I can't think of a single squishy that I haven't been able to kill with her R while they were in the threshold. Most tanks die as well.

In most cases it's just additional overkill and does nothing. The only actual effect it's going to have is against supertank champs (so now Mundo and Cho'gath can laugh off her entire kit, and can actually be killed by her) and when she's behind.

Yes, it's a lot more damage, but even as-is her ult overkills squishies in the threshold anyways, so the on-paper impact looks high, but the in-practice effect will be pretty small.

Pretty much this. I heard a few high tier jungle mains point out that her first clear alone is ~20 seconds slower after the q nerf, a pretty significant amount of time.

Perhaps she shouldn't be a farm-oriented jungler when her kit is so strong for ganking?

of course shes good for ganking… after 6. before 6, its damn near impossible to gank with her, considering her only cc gives you a 2 second warning that youre about to be charmed. So the early clearing that you HAVE to do in order to hit 6 is heavily nerfed, making her powerspike take way longer.

If you're blue side, you gank top from going around tri-bush easily. There's nothing they can do if they aren't a hyper-mobile top laner playing against a low CC lane opponent.

If you're red side, you gank bot.

Mid lane you can go around as well.

This is before even considering anyone pushing a laner of yours in.

Its very easy to waste someone's flash as eve unless your laners have low range alongside low CC, even pre-6.

She's an easier Nocturne pre-6 when it comes to ganking.

that goes for literally any jungler in the game though. ANY jungler can get someones flash with a level 2 or 3 gank. Eve takes longer than a lot of junglers to even hit that level 3 threshold to make an early gank worth it over most other early game JGs.

What u mean it will do nothing, she basically going to do true damage with ult, because it will just ignore all my usable magic resist.

So basically no point building against her any single MR item after all.

It won't affect how much penetration it has. It's just an overall 20% damage increase from her current against targets who are in the execute threshold.

And I said it will do nothing for the exact reasons I said - It's already overkill. On live, it does 125/250/375 + 75% AP, and doubles when they're below 30% health. Assuming she has 400 AP (probably low-balling it here, but w/e), that's 1350 when they're below 30%. The buff merely increases this to 1620 damage. I'm not sure about you, but I can't think of many champions who had above 1350 HP when at a third of their health.

This is a change that mostly helps Eve against super tanky champions (not so much against normal tanks, but specifically champions like Cho'gath, Mundo, and Naut. Ones that take minutes to die even when 1/7) and when she's behind (since an Eve that's behind is practically useless). Against everyone else? It's nothing except some extra healing from Ravenous Hunter, since they're already dead.

That's actually pretty unnoticable, her R usually overkills anyway on targets below 30%.

Its at best a buff for rank 1 ultimate for those rare instances they survive R with a pixel of health and many dragon/baron steals, but late game she insta-gibs anything squishy sometimes without ulting anyway. The buff is actually less than the nerf when you put it into practice.

DuskDaUmbreon2 votes

It's also a buff against supertanky champions and when she's behind, but, yeah. It's not going to be nearly as impactful as it seems it will be.

WoonStruck1 votes

Against squishy targets, yes its negligible.

The bigger problem is that a change like this provides more disincentives to building tanky than the meta already does.

i think the q nerf did hurt eve a lot. i mean if you do every camp 10% slower AS JUNGLER that adds up to a lot. the ult buff is pretty useless imo. either you kill someone with it if they are low, or you dont. she really doesnt need those 20% and they wont do much.

riven on the other hand...

atleast the old eve had no escape if she engaged. this new one... R has a longer range than flash. its a bit.. depressing.

I understand why all this is happening, but I really don't like that the balance team wants assassins to be able to kill tanks so easily.

DuskDaUmbreon1 votes

It's not assassins, it's just Eve.

They clearly wanted her to be more anti-tank with her rework. Why? I'm not sure.

WAZZZUP5001 votes

I think ap assassins do way too much damage to tanks, ad assassins can't really do much if both are on equal ground. It's just soooo much harder to itemize against ap as a tank; not enough mr items to go around.
