Being a support main has become exhausting

I can't remember being so stressed out and exhausted as the support, and I've been supporting for basically since I started playing the game. Lately, though, there has been a change in the mentality of the League to one more defeatist, fatalistic, single and feeble minded than ever before. Simply put, people focus too much on getting kills and little on anything else. This includes defending lanes, pushing lanes, grabbing river objectives, warding, helping those who need help, tanking, applying buffs/crowd control, scouting, tanking, etc. With a group of damage mains, if they aren't an unstoppable force early on, they're more or less useless once the lanes open up, and they're so obsessed with grabbing kills they simply refuse to do anything else.

As the support, I find myself more often than not torn between TWO different teamfights at the same time in two different locations, because two different groups demand my help and I only have so much of myself to go around. I find myself the constant force in multiple sieges and teamfights, sticking around long after others have come in, fought, died or recalled and another one rushing in to do the same, and I'm required to be involved in each and every one, even when I'm physically, mentally and statistically exhausted from the nonstop fighting. Recalling has basically become a luxury.

I also find myself trying to boost the morale of an increasingly defeatist-minded team, people who have decided the only outcome to every game is complete, utter, crushing failure and pine for the moment they are able to surrender. I have enough shit to do without trying to play therapist while avoiding hellfire from the enemy team because I'm the highest priority target.

This isn't supporting anymore. It's a stress test. I'm carrying so much water for the team as the support that even yesterday, while I was running back and forth between all the lanes as Zac jungler, trying to stop the out of control enemy Irelia, halting the enemy jungler, pushing the lanes, and protecting our atrophied Nasus with my presence as he pushed and fell back from top lane among all the other jobs of the jungler, that felt like a VACATION to me. It made me realize just how hefty my responsibilities have become as the support, and even though I tire of the role and want to return to other lanes and roles to hone and broaden my abilities, I hesitate to leave such an overly massive responsibility to anyone else. It's an issue of people simply refusing to have more than one role in this game, and everyone focusing all on the same role; killing.
