47% win rate on a rather easy champ, also rageblade getting nerfed. And before that the crit item nerfs did hurt tryn too.

the crit items didnt nerf shit. tryn has the same rng lane phase that he always did. only that with conqueror and the new i.e. he deals enough true damage that you have hopelessly lost the game when he gets ahead for any reason at all.

im not going to let that champion through next patch just so i can get held hostage in lane even when i get ahead vs. him early.

even when hes not op, or undertuned, his kit is dumb and broken. he should be top priority for a full gameplay update for about 3 years now. it honestly surprised me that ryze got multiple updates in the same time.

"RNG" laning phase, what are you talking about? Most of the time when u have full fury as tryn you get 1 crit every three aas and that is perfectly fine(even tho i submitted a change to that for the community patch notes).

If he would be as strong as before, his wr wouldn´t be that bad. Tryn likes long games, now if he doesn´t get ahead, the game needs to be unusual long for him to have a real impact again.

he entirely relies on cheesing you with a few lucky crits in a row to win his lane. if he cant get them, hes going to play passive for the next 30 minutes and afk pushes top lane and just holds you hostage in lane the entire game. if he gets them, he usually snowballs to hell with no breaks on the train.

that has been tryndamere for his entire existence.

every top laner ive seen talk about the topic said that buffing tryn in his current state is a terrible idea. and im talking about diamond to challenger top laners.

cant argue with that. it definitely depends who youre asking. but tryns kit is broken in design in a way that i never want to see him even near 50% winrate tbh. whenever he gets ahead, he simply has no counterplay. and the way he gets ahead is usually luck based.

if you like it or not, its a fact that his early game reliance on a couple of random crits in a row makes or breaks his lane. thats not fair or engaging gameplay, and exactly the reason why riot removed 4% crit masteries way back (in season 2?).

especially since the conqueror and i.e. combination, and if these buffs do what theyre intended to do, he WILL be a problem.

Counterplay to tryn, push the lane he tries to split, he will usually try to rotate to the other lane, the time he wastes to rotate you push the lane.

And tbh most "meta" champs have "no counterplay" if they are ahead. The only real counter is kiting and cc most of the time.

Tryndamere isn't even good. If you aren't 5/0 in the laning phase your impact is just split pushing which is easily countered, mainly because when split pushing your team will be farming chickens and some other dumb shit.

my point is, why does anyone WANT him to be good?

his kit is the most broken in this game. when hes good, hes serious problems. like old poppy levels of problems. he should have been on top of the rework list for years.

I think you missed my point that he is not good. If you are just 1/0 and the enemy top has tabi and other armor you won't be able to out trade them. The only thing you can do is ignore them and hit the tower which is by no means optimal. It is at that point if your team are a bunch of droolers there is a 99% chance you lost lmao.
