An obsession with the late game - I warned you, AGAIN.

Once again, the community demonstrates its mouth-breathing, crippling stupidity, despite every warning in the universe issued against them. So in my last game, the entire team decides to go all AD, all melee, solo target focus with no utility, durability, or crowd control to speak of. They acknowledge they know this and brag endlessly about how unstoppable they will be in the late game... IF they can get to the late game. I warned them multiple times that investing so damn heavily on the late game is not going to work. We won't have an early game OR mid game, much less a late game. No one listens because why would they, and within the first few minutes, the enemy team is already 5-0 and counting.

It's not until this point that what we lack as a team begins to even remotely hit home to the team. Then they start crying out "We can't win! We have to play safe!" _ OH, YOU DON'T FUCKING SAY!_

Isn't this EXACTLY what I warned you will happen?

By the way, they can't play safe, nor do they, because they don't know what those words mean. As I've said previously, they are an all-in team with no off switch or slowing down or safe way to farm, and with the growing lead the enemy is getting, they're going to storm every illusion of defense we think we have. Which is exactly what they end up doing because newsflash, the enemy team is built do do this! We end at 23-3, and the only reason why we even got three kills was because the enemy got stupid.

This isn't the first time it happened and it sure as shit won't be the last. Everyone not only overspecializes, but overspecializes to focus on how "awesome" their late game is, a part of the game that will never happen because they immediately get demolished in their early game, have no answer for it, and by the ten minute mark the enemy team has destroyed all three inhibitors and both Nexus turrets.

YOU THINK I'M FUCKING JOKING...

By the way, just because you think your late game is awesome doesn't make you fucking special. What ends up counting more is how far ahead you can put yourself ahead of the enemy while denying them opportunities to claim objectives, farm unmolested, or kill your allies. Not that anybody seems to think of this these days. They expect the enemy to agree to turtle up for 40 minutes and fight the enemy on their terms, and the enemy that they do eventually fight is less intelligent than a moldy coat rack.

I've had people try and report me in a few games now for "scripting" or "hacking" because I used the slightest bit of common sense, like leading my shots to take down an Ezreal that I knew would try to blink to safety, or hitting enemies that I can't see but I intuitively know where they are. Really? The tiniest amount of common sense in this game is now equivalent to fucking HACKING?!

I am getting very tired of being the support. It's like being the designated driver while everyone else consumes lethal amounts of alcohol, destroys themselves, and you have to make sure they don't try to fuck a blender, and if something bad happens to them, it's your fault, and you're basically doing this pro bono. But if I don't support, then who will? Can I expect them to do it right and not try to go support Yasuo? Every time I've left it alone recently, someone completely inexperienced to the cosmic rigors and demand of the role gets thrust into it and bot lane suddenly can't kill a single minion without dying horribly. But then if I don't support, this stupid shit happens. All the while I'm trying to practice with other champions to broaden my horizons and up my Mastery level. I'm the luckiest person in the universe if I can get even ONE of these things to happen.

I'm pretty convinced at this point that the community is intentionally self-destructive for reasons even I can't comprehend.

Are you bad at the game and wouldn't even be able to compare yourself to semi-professional LCS tournament players? Kappa.

LOL!

That's exactly what playing support is like in Gold or below.

It drives me bonkers when we're in champion select and people don't pay attention to team composition. I see so many games lost in champion select because of it, and I'm tired of it.

Riot only requires you to learn 2 roles. So I don't think it's asking a lot that you know how to play other champions besides Yasuo mid and Teemo top. You need to be able to play a variety of champions to fill out your team if you queue up for top, mid, or jungle.

Bot lane cannot fill out the missing parts. ADCs need to be AD Marksmen. Supports scale incredibly poorly, and should focus on utility and their ADC.

I can put up with all the abuse and silly avoidable mistakes, but losing the game before it even starts is effing depressing.

I got that message years ago when I started playing (around the same time I started playing a support main), so now I have around six or seven champions for EACH ROLE. Most players barely have seven champions overall, and when you have four of those players in the queue, ALL of whom want to "Yasuo mid or feed", well... you're in for a bad time.

An all AD team isn't a strong late game team. That's the sort of team that will get shut down by a single tank with a few armour items. All AD teams rely on snowballing. If they don't get ahead early they're going to lose if the enemy team just buys a little armour.

A late game team would be something like Fiora Sejuani Anivia KogMaw Braum . Late game teams don't over focus on a single damage type.

What you're talking about is morons preferring to play #LC$BIGPLAY$ champs over champs who actually work with the team.

Whenever I see an all AD team, I make it a point to remind them to build armor shred, ESPECIALLY if there's a tank on the enemy team, which there almost always is. They never do.

No, I mentioned late game because they wouldn't shut up about it. It's gotten to the point where I physically cringe at the sight of a Nasus on our team, because I know he's not going to do anything except farm endlessly, complaining constantly about how he doesn't have enough stacks even when he has 1000, full build, a potion, a boot augment and 4000+ surplus gold, and despite having a sheen item, Maw, Sterak's Gage, Dead Man's Plate and Randuin's Omen on top of Boots of Swiftness, he refuses to fight because he keeps complaining about how behind he is, all the while dealing less damage than the support because he absolutely refuses to fight anybody. Then complains about how useless his team is. It happens like clockwork.

But that's the mentality of the game right now. Everyone treats it as if it's 1v9 and that they're going to be the big star that gets all of the pentakills and that will attract the attention of LCS and women who will want to touch their eruption button, all the while not knowing how to respond to anyone with the slightest bit of sentience that can shut their asses down. I've been through this song and dance too many times now, and nobody ever learns what went wrong. They just blame the guy next to them. Yeah, Support Yasuo, the top lane Teemo made you lose against Tahm Kench in bot lane. Just keep telling yourself that.
