I mean...im kinda shocked that i have to say this, but isnt that just kinda silly? He effectively cant sit in a bush for stealth. This is primarily a HUGE effect on jungle Aurelion as obviously sitting in bushes is a pretty frequent task of junglers. This doesnt only effect jungle Aurelion though. Arelion will likely mostly be played mid lane, and due to the nature of his E, he is going to want to roam basically every chance he gets. While E does somewhat get him over the possibility of sitting in a bush, the fact an obvious "roaming mid champion" cant hide it out is just absurd.

Sitting in a bush for stealth for a surprise attack is a core component of League of Legend's gameplay and to quite simply make one champion unable to do that, is just kind of absurd unless there is a clear reason. I mean, if youre going to follow through with this, then shouldnt DrMundo W be visible if he is standing on the edge of a bush as well? I mean, it does damage. But you arent going to do that because it makes absolutely no sense to do so. So why do it to Aurelion?

Can it just be changed to be hidden unless it actually damages something? Its not like its going to be gamebreaking, itd just be a great QOL change that you will more than likely end up doing anyway once he goes live and people comment on how dumb this is.

Edit 1: Since people clearly are not reading this post. TLDR; If Aurelion is in a bush, with his W off, and while his passive is not doing damage to champions, he should remain stealthed. If his passive damages something, then you get to see the big star dragon. Treat his passive exposing him in bushes as if it was an auto attack, as many people are arguing in favor of the change. Edit 2: As someone pointed out, Nunu and Galio can simply ult in a bush and not be seen, but a champions passive that cant be turned off will expose...?????

{quoted} ... but a champions passive that cant be turned off will expose...?????

This is the same for Illaoi and her tentacles. Them spawning reveals her position in the fog of war, showing what bush she's in as well.

then shouldnt DrMundo W be visible in a bush as well?

Mundo's W is melee range!!

I honestly believe this should be changed. Illaoi has a very similar problem where she can't ever hide in a bush because the enemy will know she is there simply due to her passive. Aurlion shouldn't also be burdened with this, as it causes way more harm to the champion than positives.

Not being able to hide is the trade off for having free powerful damage with one of the best ganking tools in the game. With his E, you should never really be hiding in bushes because you can come from further away, over walls.

The reason why it's hidden for champions like Mundo is because they can turn it off -- Sol can't

I like how this thread is trying to justify cheese with more cheese.

I agree, only while W is off. As long as they're in their normal passive state, he should be able to hide. Obviously, if they actually hit something, he should still be revealed, or if he cranks up his Celestial Expansion and turns into a magic marksman. Having a passive you can't turn off announce your presence to everyone might be thematically on point for a celestial dragon, but it doesn't seem fun.

Mundo doesn't spin baby stars around his body.

Just like to point that out. Stars are super bright, you know.

So he can damage you from fog of war without you even knowing what hit you?

Gives me flashbacks to sunfire eve who could walk up to you and kill you with sunfire cape all while completely invisible.

As long as he is revealed when the passive deals damage from brush, then hiding it is totally K.

If the stars were invisible while you didn't have vision of Sol then he would be absolutely stupid in top or bot because he could hide in the side brush and let his stars boop you with no possibility for you to react to it. Yes, Nunu can hide in a bush and blow you up with his ult, but he can only do that every once in a while. Sol could be constantly hurting you with very little you could do about it.

Because it's effect extends beyond his character model, it would basically create times where you die without actually being hit by anything on your screen.

That is very bad for clarity.

One does not merely hide stars in a shubbery.

All they have to do is make it so sol is invisible in brushes unless he enters combat or if he activates W.

That way he can play the same bush game as everyone else.
