Vladimir is one of the few champions in this game i can honestly say i like every aspect of. He is a tank mage, his kit is true to his lore, that being said his lore is simple and awesome, he is punny, has a ridiculous dance emote, and is just an all around awesome champion. Im not going to say his current splash arts are anything amazing, but these...these are just awful. Especially the original splash art change. Please dont let these go through.. They are just so cheesy and offputting.

Specially the very first one... what's up with his face?? I used to think of Vlad like this... Castelvania-esque character and now he looks like a B Movie Monster from the 60s

Please Riot, don't make these splash arts official, they are AWFUL, especially the first one. Imo, Vladimir was always the handsome, classy, yet twisted psychopathic murderous sorcerer. Don't change that!!!!

How any change that Riot does goes:

  • Riot makes change
  • Boards find out about change
  • Boards proceed to whine, complain, protest, grumble, bleat, carp, cavil, grouse, make a fuss, object, speak out, criticize, find fault, snivel, moan, gripe, kvetch, beef, kick up a fuss, raise a stink, and bellyache about said changes
  • Changes go through regardless (except in rare occasions, see Night Raven Fiora)

Summary: They are updating splashes that have multiple art pieces so that they don't have to make double the amount of Hextech Crafting icons, meaning that it will save Riot time to work on other art projects (like skins and splash art).

This is only a temporary update and not a final change. Get off your high horses and wait for Riot to deliver, quality doesn't happen overnight

The Marquis Vladimir new splash is just fucking horrible. In the splash art we have now, he is perfect: emotionless, proud and looks down at you like you are nothing for him. But here, it's just so... stupid. His hand gesture looks like he's some kind of artist. The face is even worse. It completely doesn't fit him and who the skin is based of (Gilles de Rais).

Count Vladimir is a bit better, but still bad compared to our one. This smile on his face... No, just pls, no, he isn't a psychopath to have such a smile on his face.

And then, there's Vandal skin. Uhm, are we sure that it's splash art for the same skin? He doesn't look remotely close to his in-game appearance, wtf.

I like the new vandal vladimir splash as it is much more in motion and also has vandal brand in it.

And as bad as the count vladimir splash art looks,it does represent the ingame model a lot better than the current one(the current one is missing the old face and has a different hairstyle). Not a fan of the other 2,though I have to say that they aren't that bad either.

I hate all the new splash arts, the reason they're different is because the champions do not blend well with the background. They look photoshopped into it. These splash arts are the most ugly things ever. When they reworked shen and released his splash arts I was amazed, they were each incredible.

The more recent splash arts could be done by my little brother, honestly they suck

Its all a matter of opinion and I honestly don't think these are too bad.

I like Marquis Vlad. I actually really like the Vandal one and how they incorporated Vandal Brand into the splash in the background.

The only one I don't really like is Nosferatu Vladimir, because I liked his pose in the original.

Again, its all a matter of opinion but I think, as a whole, people are blowing this whole thing out of proportion.

His original splash art isn't being changed?

That's Count Vladimir - the black recolor of his original skin.

I like the change to Count Vladimir because the NA art incorrectly shows long hair. Vandal Vladimir isn't that bad, either. Marquis and Dracula look pretty lame, though.

The Nosferatu one is particularly saddening. They're all pretty atrocious though. I like the direction of Vandal, but his style and punkishness is gone- and what is that hair?

The first one looks like a crazy Hispanic. The second looks good in terms of style, but it doesn't show how Vlad is evil. The third is not bad, he looks Voldemort. I'd prefer it over the old one because the old Nosferatu just looked like a weirdo. The last's one's concept and design looks good except the head. "Is that Biker Ezreal?" someone would probably ask, because once again, he's not wicked enough.

the Nosferatu one makes me cri since the one we got looks more like him than this one
