You can say something in a matter of 3 games in a row and get punished. Toxic people arent the problem its toxic behavior thats the real problem and it never gets punished.

Because its unfair that you can be passive agressive without getting any punishment but if I tell the guy who is starting the whole thing that hes an asshole I get in trouble. In REAL LIFE if you go around starting fights you get arrest OR get your ass kicked. Why in league of legends is the guy defending himself getting in trouble while the other guy goes around doing the same thing over and over. Why does it take 3 games of a chat related issue to get a chat ban but running down mid takes over 20 games to get a ban. Or even more relatable when the jungle comes to a lane and takes all the laners farm. Thats passive agressive bahavoir that doesnt get punished.

I have never been passively agressive to anyone in this game ever. I got a chat ban for teerling people they suck or dont belong in my elo. Ill be straight up and tell you but I dont go around looking for fights and I mostly dont say anything to anyone, unless you suck. In your case you suck as a human being for trying to bring out the worst in other peoplem in this case myself. If your trying to help then your going about it the complete wrong way. The key to getting someone to not be toxic is to kill them with kindness. The honor system sucks because it tried to hold you down once your down. Ive gotten up all the checkpoints to get to level 1 but Ive played over 100 games in the last checkpoint. I understand that it is possible to get out however it takes about 1/4 the time when climbing from 1 to 2 (Ive done it on another account) The system in itself is tilting because it doesnt make you feel as though you are making any progress and it actually tilts me going into a game KNOWING that my honor level will most likely not change. Even if I say nothing at all in a game (which I have been doing) it still takes WAY too long to get to honor level 1.

there is a really old saying "sticks and stones can break my bones, but words can never hurt me" if you are the kind of person how cares what some random person thinks then mute them if they start talking shit.

personally i mute players like once every 300 or so games. because if they tell me I'm wrong they are either : A. Correct; and i fucked up and i admit it B. Wrong; and they're a moron and i ignore it or call them out on it and make them look stupid

they are usually wrong because with 5 years of game experience i know a shit ton more about that game than any of the randoms i get on my team. but sometimes i do fuck up and they call me on it and I'm like.. YOU SAW NOTHING!!!! and they usually laugh. or i even say that when i fuck up before they even say anything. if people can actually get to you, mute them. it's not that hard

Honor is pretty ass tbh. After losing it I know it's going to take such an obscenely long time to get anywhere with it that I just can't bring myself to care.

I mean... they TRIED to make honor mean something but it failed incredibly hard. Nobody can see your honor level but you so who even cares? And the "progress" you make is not even worth it. Who in their right mind doesn't alt tab during the loading screen to even see what kind of honor you are?

It was kind of cool in the beginning i guess.

The point of honor is to be... honorable.

Being NOT toxic is the bare minimum for acquiring honor. The climb from honor 0 to 2 is a lot steeper from honor 2 to 5.

Not chatting at all technically works, but it's going to be slow, since again, you're doing the bare minimum.

I use the chat all the time, and I don't even play very many games (and most of them are in premades where each individual honor is worth less), but I'm still on par with people who do play a lot of games on League and I know I'm not an angel every game (but I rarely directly insult or call someone names or a derogatory comment). People throwing around the bus that a little bit of toxicity gets you punished is either overblown, or they're not being completely honest with themselves, either in the amount of games they're doing it, or are undervaluing how toxic they are actually being.

Of course, in the end, I can only speak through my own experiences, and people can only speak through theirs. Still, if it was as bad as the majority of people make it out to be in saying the system was broken, the majority of the population would be chat restricted by now or worse.

Honor 0/1 aren't meant to be easy to get out of. It's gonna take you a long climb.

Plus seeing the responses you've given throughout the thread, the punishment was appropriate. Your attitude towards others needs a lot of work.

13 honors is not really much.

Considering 0 -> 2 is harder to reach, due to the uniqueness to make a player really work to reform. If all it took was 13 honors to get back a level, I'm sure everyone and their grandmas would be flaming people up a storm and not care about the consequences due to how easy it is to get the levels back.

Also, Riot has mentioned that it will take longer to obtain a level due to it being a new year. As the implementation of the honor system was introduced partially into last year, they increased the rate to get a level. Since it's a new year, they slowed it down to its appropriate rate that they wanted.

I would say, see this as a way to reflect upon your actions and the damage you caused to others previously and reform your behavior instead, rather than obsess about the rewards. It'll come eventually if you continue to do positive things for your teammates.
