I don't support alot like most people but when I do, I brand support. All of those games are brand support and I only lost 1 or 2. Although that's oy 10 games or so. They are removing gold from the equation. They are no replacing it with quests. Ancient coin gives you a free skill point. Relic shield let's everyone be malphite. Spellthiefs makes you run faster on tribute procs. Will this effect nuker supports in any way.

They are an addition to make using the item's gold procs feel more rewarding after the laning phase while also giving a meaningful way to measure your success as a support (how often you are procing the extra gold by picking up coins w/ ancient coin, hitting enemy with spellthiefs, or killing minion and sharing gold with relic) during the laning phase.
