Nami; A Gameplay Change

So Nami is a weird champion, because she is very gold reliant but does not have the waveclear to be a solo lane champion. So utility mages get played since they have waveclear to get farm and gold to be useful in the game while supports would have kits that do not require gold to be useful. So Nami is set up to be a solo lane utility mage that wants gold, but she does not have means to clear waves to get that gold, so she is forced to be only a support that needs gold. So two things would happen either supports get a lot more gold from their gold item so they can carry and get real items or make some slight changes that allows Nami to have the option to solo lane (still can support just the same too). Since I like the old champions and old ways of league where we got champions that can play multiple positions and roles I will be introducing some ideas that allow Nami to be a viable solo laner without changing her support kit (would set up some cool tricks you can do too).

Aqua Prison (Q): Cooldown: 14/13/12/11/10 seconds [for context] Nami will send out a bubble that if it makes contact with any unit it will deal 75/130/185/240/295(+50%AP) magic damage and stun struck enemies for 1.5 seconds. [this is the same thing now, obviously does not damage or stun allies but applies the passive]

If the bubble does not make contact with any units then the bubble will burst to greatly increase its radius to deal 40/60/80/100/120(+50%AP) magic damage to all enemies struck and reduce Aqua Prison's cooldown by 4 seconds, minions and monsters take 40/60/80/100/120(+200%AP) magic damage. [bursted bubbles do not stun enemies obviously- the radius will roughly triple from ~167 units to ~500 units]

Tidecaller's Blessing (E): The bonus magic damage will deal 50% of the magic damage as splash damage around its target if the target is a minion or monster; this can be really good for a support role to help a marksman with low waveclear to help them clear a minion wave; the user with the buff gets the kill credit and not Nami unless she self-casts the buff to herself to use it on a minion wave

EDIT: I am trying to work on some numbers for my idea that makes it for low AP (support Nami) does not accidentally push out a minion wave if the stun misses with a very low base damage and ratio, but give a very high ratio against minions and monsters with the low base damage still against minions and monsters so that solo lane nami has the waveclear utility to solo lane and try to keep support nami's play relatively unchanged. Even though I do provide numbers, they can always be easily change so just take the idea of the numbers and not exact values of the numbers.

So basically, it'll be impossible to dodge Nami's burst combo? Q projectile has a pretty fast travel speed, so if the enemy dodges the bubble, they'll get hit by the damage anyway.

But they won't be stunned doe.

Thresh and Nautilus have a similar mechanic; if Thresh lands a hook, the CD is reduced, which means you can miss the champion but hit a minion and it'll be up sooner, and Naut to a lesser extent because his anchor CD is reduced when used on terrain.

Not saying the idea is good, just saying missing your intended target is not the same as no change.

it wouldnt be impossible, it be similar to other aoe skill shots- it would be just big enough to hit all the minions; perhaps i make a change to my change that just deals double damage to minions/monsters so that the champion damage is low, but landing the stun is a pretty significant thing so dodging that would save your life unless you are that low on health

Eh, as a Support this is just a big buff she doesn't really need, since it reduces her Q when it misses and also allows for pushing a wave as a utility sustain supp. I say "Nay" on all counts.

However, since you want to talk about putting her in a solo lane, I'll suggest a buff that may have little-to-no impact as a support, but would provide waveclear as a solo laner;

(E) Tidecaller's Blessing - If cast on Nami, deals bonus splash damage to minions and monsters.

That's it. No extra buff to her CC, no bonus damage to champions, just waveclear when she needs it.

you max Q last as support Nami, so this change would not actually push out a minion wave for missing the stun since the damage would be so low

i did add splash damage to attacking minions and monsters too with her E - but you need a free cast spell to clear the waves as well to function like a mage, so the bubble exploding when it hits the ground makes sense and can offer a new mechanic to use for Nami without changing anything in her kit

This sounds very reasonable.
