Thoughts on Champ "Leak", Kai'sa
OK so i just saw this when I woke up and I'm fairly certain that she'll get officially revealed later today, so I'm using the term "leak" loosely, but I still want to start a discussion post about the champ gameplay-wise. Looks I'll post later on SA&S as separate subject.
So let's start off:
> Passive: Second Skin
-
Caustic wounds - basic attacks against enemies mark them with plasma, dealing increased bonus magic damage. after a few consecutive attacks, plasma ruptures dealing a burst of damage based off of missing health. Allies immobilizing effects stack plasma.
-
Living weapon: abilities become empowered based off of experience and stats gained from the shop.
> Q: Icathian Rain
-
Release swarm of missiles, distributed evenly among enemies. Additional hits on same target deal reduced damage.
-
Living Weapon: More missiles when you have enough bonus AD
>W: Void Seeker
- Fires beam of Void energy, revealing first enemy hit, dealing magic damage, and stacking plasma.
-** Living weapon**: More damage and refund part of CD on champion hit with enough bonus AP
>E: Supercharger
-
Charges up, gaining MS but can't attack. After charge up, increase attack speed. Basic attacks reduce Supercharger CD
-
Living weapon: Briefly grants true invisibility when charging up with enough bonus Attack Speed
>R: Killer Instinct
- Dash super fast and far to location near enemy champ marked with plasma and gain damage absorbing shield.
So off the bat, she seems interesting with the passive, especially since one of her abilities gets empowered by AP so maybe there will be an alternate playstyle to her of an APC.
However, then I run into the issues. Invisibility on the empowered E. We all know how Vayne is, so whether or not "brief" invisibility means she comes out before the charge is complete to allow us to react remains to be seen. WE DON'T WANT ANOTHER VAYNE IN LEAGUE, ONE IS BAD ENOUGH!
The passive going into a semi-execute. Seriously, having a passive that's essentially a built in execute doesn't sound that good, especially when the champ seems hard to deal with.
On top of that, if she's going to have empowered shit that scales from both AP and AD that means she could be more like Kog in a hybrid carry and we all know how he's been doing as well.
But what are the possitives? Well, she needs to ramp up to get her empowered abilities through items so she's more late game, she doesn't really have a lot of self-peel or CC, and her ult gets her into the fight so that's the "high-risk, high-reward" shir Reav3 talked in his Roadmap.
Overall, I'm still not certain what to think yet 'til I see her in action. What are your thoughts?
