Tryndamere New Ultimate

I think that, in order for Tryndamere to be good, his ultimate needs to be more counterable yet still serve the same purpose. So, this is my take on a new one:

Ultimate- Undying Rage Active: For 5/5.5/6 seconds, Tryndamere reduces all forms of damage taken by a flat 50/100/150 plus 60/80/100% AD. This can reduce damage taken down to 0. Tryndamere also gains 50/75/100 Fury upon activation. This can be activated during crowd control (this is not a new effect).

Some form of mega shield that can still be pierced but to most forms of damage still makes him immune to death.

So... True damage still F@#$s him.

??? How does true damage counter him now, besides Ignite?

Not "still" as in currently, "still" as in "With all the damage gone, True damage will still always prevail."

Admittingly, my context was shaky at best.

Oh well... alright. When I said reduces all damage, I mean ALL DAMAGE so True Damage would also be reduced. I see what you are saying now though.

That's the thing about true damage though, it's never reduced. Never ever ever.

Say that to Kayle and Poppy

Personally i think a % amount would be better. Something like 50%/60%/70% (+1% for every 20 AD)

That would be a "If nothing works, do this" for Tryndamere in my opinion since the main thing on his ultimate is just not being able to die. Reducing all damage dealt by a % just seems to kind of take that away. If you mean 50/60/70% AD (+1% per 20 AD) then the ratio is pointless because that's just AD improving AD.

i say extend the ult duration and leave it as is otherwise it removes what makes tyrnda tyrnda

Yes, but thats the thing. Is Trynda being current Trynda good? Many reasons Riot cant do anything with an old champion currently is usually due to them having one kit morphing mechanic that is most of the time hated. This just leaves the champion in a weird spot to where it will never see competitive play, yet is hated in Pubs. Is this a good thing or a bad thing and should it be in the game?

Well sure, you can be immune to it for a few seconds with those ults, or even a item 3157 , but it never gets REDUCED. Or else it wouldn't be true damage, that's what it means, damage that isn't mitigated by armor, magic resist, or anything else.

Can we talk about the fact that Kindred's ult does the same thing as Trynd, but to his teammates and with a better heal?

But it also gives enemies everything it gives allies, so it has a down side. It also only affects a specific area.

oh .. for real? I wasn't aware it affected enemies. I knew it seemed overpowered

How can tryndamere be good if you make his ult more counterable? That's just straight up nerfing his ult. With what you described, trynd will be useless still if behind, and more op if ahead. This is the problem with trynd right now and changing that ult won't solve anything.

so 4 or 5 crits from their adc late game and you still die from full health? stuck split pushing even more.
