Can we do something about champions who don't have weaknesses?

I use the word "weakness" in the loosest sense of the word. Every champion has a counter, and they have things they are bad at, but where most champions have things they outright can't do anything about, some are given a silver spoon, and have general purpose mechanics which buffer those weaknesses. Often these general purpose mechanics are integrated into the kit in a manner which doesn't change the playstyle of the champion.

What this means, is that you now have a kind of white list, of champions who can beat these particular champions, rather than a black list, which get slaughtered by them.

A good example of this is yasuo's shield passive. It adds nothing to the champion in terms of player input. However it increases the amount of things that the enemy against the yasuo has to account for.

edit: FFS people, i used yasuo as an example of this shit, not as the only example, this isn't some kind of hate on yasuo thread. This stuff has been getting more and more common with every rework and every class update, and it's not just their passive that i'm referring, it's also secondary affects on other skills and such. Other examples include, Malzahar Darius Ekko Rengar Camille Katarina Garen Warwick exc i'll let you easily figure out which parts are unnecessary.

You want to know where power creep comes from? It's from abilities like theirs which are given upfront equivalent power to those of others, with additional mechanics slipped in behind the individual ability as just tacked on power and flexibility.

Here are some other champs with passives that have "no" input from the player, and that the enemy has to account for.

Malphite Malzahar Maokai Darius Alistar Jax Zac Anivia . . . I'd have to list most if not all of the champ pool.

""""no""" input

true, but there is a big difference between many passives and something like yasuos. Besides the fact that he literally has 2, other champions do often play around their passives in some substantial way, zac picks up his blobs, malphite stays out of combat, darius singles out an initial target (in a team fight).

Where as something like the yasuo shield, seems to have been designed in a way which buffers his only weakness which otherwise wouldn't be accounted for by his W or E, but is so well designed around the way the rest of his kit plays, that it's something which he needs no real decision making to benefit from in most every situation.

Another example, and you provided this one, is the post reworked malzahar passive. The skill was added onto the original kit, but offers nothing to the champion. It really doesn't play into any of the decision making, and fails to really result in meaningful input.

It gives a squishy melee champion a burst of durability, depending on how the player uses the champion. Seems pretty dependent on player input.

Only bad Yasuo players don't play around his shield, lol. I always try to start fights when my shield is either up or about to be up to make the trade/all-in more in my favor, and I always try to make sure to let that shield pop before I ult if I can, so that I can get two in one fight. If my shield is down, depending on the match-up I have to be more passive, since Yasuo has no sustain in lane without warlord's bloodlust (a generally inferior pick to fervor of battle even before the nerfs to warlord's), so any damage that hits me is going to stick for a while, as opposed to a top laner like Maokai, Darius, or Gangplank, who has built-in sustain and can afford to go even or even slightly lose a trade.
