Fun game, bad community(first post).

Ok So here's my thoughts and I know there's already thousands of threads about this topic, but I need to add my thoughts just to get things off my chest. You made a competitive game that requires a lot of teamwork and us players are playing with complete strangers. I've decided to list the type of players that I think exist in this game.

Troll: This player will pick any champ they want for a random roll and say "it's only normals" Deuche: This type of player will remind the team of how bad they are and usually targets one individual. Crap Talker: This type of player will usually talk about how skillful he is and how the enemy or teammate has no skill and will spam his ctrl 6 etc. Salty player: Like the crap talker only this player constantly flames his teammates for not helping. Offended: This player gets easily offended by the salty player and tells people to report. unaware: This player doesn't know what's going on half the time. He can see you spam your skills which get put on cooldown and complain when you didn't help him in a fight. IDGAF: I'm sure you understand that but thing of the of and Freak. This player doesn't care about his team and will just push top like most teemo players do. Spammer: This player will constantly spam pings and spam the ? ping when you do something questionable or wrong. Tilted: This player will remind you before the game starts that he's mad and will usually result in being the spammer as well. Mixed:This player does all of the above. Misunderstood: This player will flame you for everything without thinking about the game. For example you might go top lane as a Yasuo and get put against your counter which is Jax.( I smashed a Yasuo player as Jax because of Jax's E)

There are much more but I don't want to take anymore time to list all of them. So how do we go about correcting this problem? Well first of all if someone is going to abuse the pings by spamming it than there should be a team vote to mute someones pings for the game without their knowledge.

Now let me list a few good things about the players.

Understood: opposite of misunderstood players. Friendly: This player is either quiet or says "don't worry about it", which is very rare.
Helper: Very Very rare at least in my elo. This player will offer his advice from what he sees in other lanes. Tryhard: This seems like a negative attribute to a lot of players, but this person is genuinely trying to win his or her lane, but may be unable to. Complimenters: This person will say "GJ" when you do something helpful or cool.

Conclusion: The amount of people that troll, flame, crap talk, and are generally trolls have completely infested this game. The experience that the average player goes through is unacceptable. No one deserves to be reminded that they're bad, that they're "trash", that they'll never get good. No one deserves to be spam pinged because of a mistake they made. Riot please find a solution to this problem and consider more than just chat mute.

I'm not insulting anyone. His reply is useless because he has nothing productive to say.

The majority of competitive team games are toxic; LoL is no exception, but i'm triggered by a few things you said.

"The experience that the average player goes through is unacceptable."

  • A lot of people have many different perspectives on what League of Leagues is and how to play it -- which leads to many conflicts. The average "League player" is Gold under. If you're talking about the Average* player, then you're not talking about League of Legend. Gold and below is a cesspool of stupidity, ignorance, and human emotion. Just monkeys banging on a keyboard and mouse thinking that they play LoL. Toxicity is unavoidable from the animal zone.

"No one deserves to be reminded that they're bad, that they're "trash", that they'll never get good."

  • If i'm in my promos and you go 0/3, i'm gonna flame you and everyone else that's playing like they got an extra chromosome.

"No one deserves to be spam pinged because of a mistake they made."

  • see above

tl;dr : Average players don't play LoL/ toxicity is unavoidable / don't go to the zoo / is just a game

Small Note: This is nothing new, this is the internet, stop going to mcdonalds and getting soft drinks, @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@Teemo summoner 14

If i'm reading this right and you're getting triggered by a few of the things I bring up really shows your immaturity. Thing for me is I only spam ping the necessary to grab attention. For example you might have 1 dead, 1 in jungle, and 3 pushing bot. If mid is getting pushed to the inhibitor i will ping 4 times to grab their attention because usually one or two pings even 3 is not enough.

Like the person who accused me of insulting someone, I'm not insulting someone. If this community really wants to get better, than they're going to have to start by not typing dumb things in game. A lot of players know that they're bad and don't need to be reminded. Top and mid are my worst roles, but I shouldn't have to be reminded that I'm bad.

For me I usually get mad out loud and not in game for example I might say out loud to myself "why the f*** are you not pushing mid?" while I ping for help in the mid lane. In my experience being reminded by my jungler that I am bad just makes me do worse. I feel that people generally do understand lose streaks and win streaks, luck and individual skill, but if top lane is fed and decides to roam and go bot, than it's the bot laners responsibility to ward river and even scuddle area in extreme cases. Also people should know that katarina is most likely going to roam to get a few of the low health players. If you have less than half hp, than you should know that you will most likely get ganked and not blame your jungler for not helping.

Another thing is very rarely do I see players take responsibility for their actions. If you're the adc and the adc you're facing against get's the first blood, than you should know that you need to ward and play more passive even if you're playing Draven.

Last thing is situations. I was playing against a full ap team one time and our Darius went deadmans and thornmail. I kindly told him "why would you go thornmail and deadmans against a full ap team?" only to have him ignore me completely. I understand it's league and nowadays people mistake others for QQ or flaming, but if he's following meta and not looking at the situation than he's being foolish. Also if you forget to take smite as a jungler, than you should know that the enemy jungler is going to camp your jungle a lot so warding and some team help should at least get your laners some kills and your team should be there to help rather than flaming you for not taking smite. I usually don't forget to take smite, but there has been some times where I've been on Youtube during champion select and have forgotten to take smite, but your team should still be there to help rather than saying "gg ff at 20".

Well guys that's enough from me. I'm a season 3 player so I know full well what the community is capable of even if I'm in bronze/silver elo. I know how frustrating the game is, and I know how it feels to waist 20 minutes to an hour trying to beat the inevitable. I still have hope that the community will change even if it's just a little. I've played other online games with voice chat and know that there are plenty of kids and college students that play so it causes a conflict. Still wish the community was better. IMO the best online community I've ever met was on a game back on xbox 360(not sure if I can put game names on the forums, not trying to advertise). Have a good life and an awesome league experience. Don't be ashamed to be stuck in your elos.
