I have the same "problem" as this rengar. We can't just magically appear in platinum flex, otherwise i'd play one game, get platinum, and not play flex que again. But some of us want the end of season rewards for flex 5v5 and ranked 3v3, so we're forced to demolish a team and go 20/0/0. I admit it's fun, and i also feel your pain, but we can't just skip to higher elo in flex 5v5 just because were D5 in solo, unfortunately.
Oh no he fed his ass off and was useless all match, he lost us the match. He was Diamond 5, but played Rengar worse than I did (I used to main Rengar). Repeatedly dove in after realizing that the enemy had the power to peel and kill him, and just kept doing so. He tossed any chance of us using our initial lead to win and end by throwing it away through near constant gold-feeding. Since he would tend to get a kill when dying, his gold was perpetually reset, meaning he was worth TONS of gold, without adding actual value to our team. I could have killed those players if we had just forced a teamfight, without risk of us losing or putting them closer to their power spikes.
Honestly, the team in general was quite bad, but as a purported Diamond player I expected him to know the basics of rotations, objective taking, and how to wisely use your baron. Example, diving in 1v5 just after we got Baron to suicide and waste it (rather than grouping with team on objective, forcing them to back off while we siege for fear of being instantly deleted). He knew there were five players, b/c he saw five players on a ward, and then ulted. He's a Rengar main too, so I'd expect him to know when to, and not to, go in.
Stuff like this just irritates the hell out of me though, I wouldn't want a player like him IN a Silver game, not just b/c he's Diamond ranked (and usually better than Silvers), but in a case like this, he was a severe detriment. He simply said that he didn't care, that this was flex; as a result his erratic and unseemly behavior put me significantly behind, and in a situation, in which honestly, I couldn't win.
