Playing an immobile champion in this game is like being a cripple

Most of them don't have enough power to make up for it and those who do are usually very oppressive (Look at MF doing half your HP in lane because he bounced her Q off a minion, or Jhin just to name a few)

You are team dependent, you can't play safe, you can't do anything by yourself against mobility.

That moment when you're Nasus who try to reach the enemy backline during a teamfight and having to soak up all the endless peel and deal with getting kited by mobility.

weird how immobile champions are simultaneously crippled and worthless but also oppressive when good

Its almost as if theres pros and cons to both, almost like a power budget.

Yeah Brand I Cassiopeia can't DrMundo imagine Draven a single Heimerdinger immobile Morgana champion Orianna who could thrive Syndra in this meta Swain . Especially when Darius you write off any counter-evidence Gangplank as "oppressive" Udyr MissFortune Jinx

There's champions for every role here that can be played in solo queue besides maybe jungle. If the champions you like aren't meta and you don't want to adapt, that's 100% on you. If you play like the CoD enthusiast that boards claims plays assassins, that's probably going to be the biggest reason you struggle against mobility.

"Can't play safe" Please elaborate on what tactics you are doing where you simply are not able to be protected by, say, your team? Forgive the snippy-seeming question, but this IS a fairly team-oriented game.
