The KOG'MAWNSTER appreciation thread <3

I just wanted to make this, even if it is ignored and nobody cares, or worse yet, the entire WORLD thinks I am completely in the wrong and thinks I am dumb(I am sure I have a rep on this board, between idle trolling and sometimes having opinions that would be deemed objectively wrong)

But with the rework of Kog'Maw, I've never had so much fun with a champion and mastered him so quickly next to reworked Mordekaiser. I honestly feel bad for Morde mains, but I think Kogs rework was a complete success. His fantasy of being the ultimate one man, penta killing tank busting murder machine of death is truly very real, but anyone who could murder 1v5 would be deemed OP but the thing with Kog is that he is very team reliant and is easy to shut down so he requires constant upkeep.

I don't feel "cheap" by destroying everyone in sight, because I had to work hard and play carefully to get to that point by my own skill of careful CS and making the right calls to attack, and not destroying everything because I am just OP and I will do as I please(previous patch Graves, this patch Xin, you get the rough idea what I mean)

Honestly, early game sucks, it can be really hard to not feed. So I just take Cull and brace for impact until I get rageblade, and only trade if a support initiates such as a thresh hook. But that's because Kog has a very defined, and highly abusable weakness. I will never reach Korean levels of control where they can walk and auto and lose very small amounts of DPS, but trying my hardest to get in the best possible spot, hunker down and let loose and triple kill is so incredibly satisfying, especially after being bullied all game long by Lucian or Miss Fortune who think they are the bee's knees and will maintain dominance all game long.

To me is the definition of "group effort" where everyone has to chip in a little because he can't do much on his own, but it pays out for everybody in the end with his damage output later on.

So I just wanted to say thanks, Riot. I've never heard a person say a good thing about the new Kog'Maw outside of its reveal because "omg 5.0 attack speed", but now that the hype has died down and everyone shits on him, I figured it was time to pay Kog'Maw back and show the Void Puppy that he isn't completely unappreciated.

I think he is a very valid ADC at this particular moment, even in the Bot Lane of Thunderlords where he just has to be sneezed at and he will die, but mark my words, one of these days LCS will form up another "Defend the Kog'Maw" comp, completely wreck face and everyone will want a piece of him. He's definitely someone you need to duo with to make work, so I have no doubt that a cohesive team such as LCS will prove that Kog'Maw is the God'Maw

Seriously, go play him, he's so much fun! Best part is, losing an inhibitor literally means nothing because Koggers just clears them out too fast, it brings a tear to my eye. I hope this Kog is the one that stays because this one is simply amazing.

I like building him kinda hybrid. A Nashor's Tooth and Guinsoo's Rageblade gives him a little more AP for more %HP damage and you really don't sacrifice much because you already deal a lot of magic damage compared to most ADCs (Looking at you, Corki).

Yeah, rageblade is all the rage! I personally build it first for the waveclear and ramp-up power(starting fights at max rageblade stats is pretty cool)

Rageblade > Runnan's > Nashor's > Everything else

Nashor is a really bad choice on him, Kog is an on-hit adc, BOTRK is way better
