An easy way to identify if a champion is overloaded or linear

  1. Go into any game mode with the champion you want to test.
  2. Hover your mouse on any of the champion's active ability.
  3. Count the lines of texts. For best results, count the lines of every ability and average them out.

Example of linear kit: > Aatrox unleashes two converging energy waves in the target direction, dealing magic damage to all units hit and slowing them by 40%.

1 line of text, super straight forward and does only 1 thing.

Example of overloaded kit: > Hookshot - First Cast: Camille fires a grapple in the target direction. If the grapple collides with terrain, Camille will dash toward and bind to the terrain for X seconds. While bound to the terrain, she gains the ability to cast Wall Dive. Wall Dive - Second Cast: Camille dashes in the target direction, which has double range if leaping toward a visible enemy champion. Upon hitting an enemy or reaching maximum range, Camille deals physical damage to all nearby enemies. If Camille hits an enemy with Wall Dive, they are stunned for 0.75 seconds, and if the enemy is a champion she gains bonus attack speed for 5 seconds.

Wall of text, overloaded as fuck.

Terrible way to design a game, based on how many text lines are in an ability. I am glad the boards have nothing to do with game balance. lol
