What ever happened to Trailblazer Enchantment?

Reading the title, you can tell what this is about. Why was trailblazer ever even removed? I've been playing a lot of evelynn and been wanting to play some off meta junglers like Gangplank, Karma, Yasuo, etc (Normal games obviously). And so obviously, clears aren't that great, and for evelynn, she has no sustain so that purple smite woulda helped. I remember always using it, and loved it. It made early ganking better because the aoe smite would give faster clears, and the health back combined with stun gave more health after a full, half, or almost full jungle clear. I'd just like to know why riot removed it.

It was removed because it wasn't used very often.

Kinda became a balancing crutch in a not good way. The problem was that too many champions not really designed for the Jungle were just able to get by with Trailblazer, while natural Junglers that could actually handle the (at the time) new Jungle needed to get toned back because of how they waaaaaaay outpaced the competition with this Smite. What happened essentially was that Junglers weren't necessarily being balanced around the Jungle, they were getting balanced around Trailblazer, which was not what Riot wanted with the Jungle update (that being, the Jungle items were accessories to your play style, not necessarily a core that your entire game is built strictly around). With it gone, Jungle champions can now have normal deviations of power that make sense for them rather than the items they were buying, and the Jungle champion pool as a whole became more standardized.

To rephrase this problem, let's imagine this in baseball: None of the players actually needed to hit the ball, instead they can use an artificial machine to hit the ball for them and all they need to do is run. You can say this introduces way more athletes to the game, but you have to know that that idea is a joke to real baseball. Trailblazer was literally that baseball machine.

Thanks for the answer, I think they they coulda just nerfed it. Maybe got rid of the stun or the heal? Anyways though, thanks again ;]
