Can Ashe Carry?

This is semi-serious, but also sorta 'ranty'. Can this "Attack damage CARRY" do anything but shred tanks slightly better than other adc's? I've never seen Ashe do anything but lose lane hard and having the enemy adc smash us, or her go like 3/1/10 or some shit, just hitting objectives all day.

If she could get better damage with her crits, I think she'd be a lot better, especially since crit is so good right now. Her passive really doesn't add anything, it just makes her crits do something different. I feel like people are gonna disagree with that, but you don't play adc to cc the enemies for your team.

I just want to know if it is really possible to carry a game with her the same way a jhin, Kai'sa, Ezreal, etc can.

Whether Ashe can carry depends on whether or not the enemy team has an assassin.

She, like any ADC, can carry but the fact is that its generally not her intended purpose. If you pick Ashe, you aren't picking her for high damage or mobility. You're picking her for Utility. Both her Ult and Passive provide a lot of utility in a teamfight and this is ignoring the fact that her E also provides decent vision control. She and Sivir are both what could be considered "Utility" ADCs. Despite there not being official terminology from Riot for ADCs, there are differences.

There are casters(Lucian, Ezreal, Corki, Graves, MF), Hypercarries(Tristana, Jinx, Vayne, Kog, Kai'sa), Utility(Ashe, Sivir, Varus sort of), and bullies(Draven). Its not as obtusely obvious that there are differences in ADCs but there are a handful.

AD Casters: Corki Ezreal Graves Lucian MissFortune Xayah

Lane Bullies: Draven Quinn Kalista

Hyper Carry: Vayne Twitch Jinx Kaisa Caitlyn KogMaw

Utility ADC: Ashe Jhin Varus Sivir

Xayah could also pass as a Hypercarry but as a large portion of her damage is from ability damage (feathers) I placed her in AD Casters.

Yes.

It helps a lot if they know how to flash.

In low elos hardly, I love Ashe and she's my third most played champ of all time but when I come to play rankeds and I tell my duo to play Ashe he says "why tho, we can carry 2vs8 easier with any other adc" and I have to agree there.

But I would also add that if Ashe's are losing lane every time you see her they must be terrible because she's pretty strong on early lvls with her W poke and considering that she always have her Q ready for a trade.

Unless you're like a smurf then no, even then if you're smurfing why the fk would you be playing something as bad as ashe who cant do anything agianst like 90% of the meta/new champs?

Ashe is legit one of the worst champions in the game atm, shes literally trashe.

lemme give it to you straight. Attack Damage Carry, when speaking about the marksman class, doesn't actually mean you can carry.

What you do is deal damage sure, but if your team doesn't help you on anything that's immobile (Ashe Jinx KogMaw ) you might aswell not be there.

Now in lower elos ashe has it a bit easier. She allows for much easier kiting, not really Ezreal Jhin levels but it does help. When you get Runaans you also slow up to 3 people at a time, you have a possible team stun with Volley and your ult can singlehandedly win a fight. If you seriously want to keep playing ashe i'd try to focus on playing a bit more supportive and try to maximize your utility. Try to take control over the teamfight and direct your team to victory, kinda like a freljordian leader. Even then realise it's often gonna be out of your control, you can't get away from zed or talon and if your team doesn't peel you're just dead.

I think that Ashe can carry if she's ahead. And as for laning phase, there are many matchups that you cannot win, but with the new supp changes, pairing up with a poke supp is awesome. Just w and aa. Or wait ill you get Q. I am no ashe main myself, but I have played a couple games. Pairing her with a supp that can chain cc with her works out really well. But poke supp also. I remember i played one with brand and another one with a karma and we won lane phase so hard. They just can't deal with all the poke unless they have like sona, soraka etc.

Dude, for the first like 2 years of playing I never saw a single Ashe who didn't feed her ass off all game lmao. It got better luckily

Makes me sad. I wish she was better. You literally cant trade in lane almost ever.

SSmotzer8/4/2018, 6:32:55 PM1 votes

Well, a marksmen is somewhat reliant on their team, and given the proper support, any champion can carry.
