Is Annie assassin or Mage?

Is annie an assassin or a mage? She does the job of an assassin x10 with the range of a mage. She makes up for it I guess with her long coold- nevermind...

(Edit) If you're wondering why I think she's better than an assassin at being an assassin, it's cause she can poke down 3,4 or maybe 5 people at once with her insane aoe damage she has and the stun. And at late game she can do that every 30 seconds. I'm probably gonna get a lot of hate for this, but she really needs to be nerfed if all the other assassins are being nerfed in the massive rework.

She's a burst mage. More utility than an assassin, but no mobility.

Xerath and Malz are identified as "Secondary Assassins," and they instakill people even less than she does.

Well what riot defines as assassin and what actually is often contradicts. Xerath can be in the sense that he can ult you from across the map in an assassination type way to take you out. But no, in no world are xerath or malz an assassin.

Annie could be by that logic. Not is. There's no definite. It really is personal opinion. If you believe she's an assassin, she can be an assassin. That goes for any champion. You could go full tank twitch and call him a tank.

The main point is that she has no mobility and mid range spells at best with unreliable CC. I personally wouldn't classify her as an assassin. If 100-0ing was what made someone an assassin, most champions could fit the description.

when did annie have 10 xs the range of other mages? did i miss something? i thought that they nerfed the range on her a few patches ago and part of her weakness is she isnt long range and has no mobility?

Annie also has the longest auto range. 575? Which is longer than sivirs lucian + +

I said she is an assassin x10. She can burst one person down plus any other squishy in a teamfight in the same time it would take an assassin to kill just one person

I have always reffered to her as a burst mage, but whenever I think about it, when she has her flash available she is quite litteraly an assassin that can wipe your entire team.
