Honestly I had to lane against a support malphite and a twitch and it was just the perfect setup. Malphite's kit especially his ult just stopped anything I could do and most of the time I couldn't react to his ult fast enough. He could keep twitch safe at any opportunity. But then again I think some of the board was in my game because their whole team kept trying to gank bot.

but the only way to deal with vayne at the moment is about 4k health and 700 armor with a thornmail. malphite is one of the 2 champions who can accomplish that.
rammus gets less armor, but he has an inbuilt thornmail to stack on the other one.

fair enough, I am just saying that malphite has a simple mechanic, facerolling carriers,

He isn't really doing too much before 6 without ult tho.
Support malphite can be legit though. I think. So long as the support he is versus can't apply to much ranged harass early game (otherwise your ADC is kind of in a 1v2 til 6). So support Malphite is only safe if you see another tank support.
