Is Lux still viable as a support (S5)?

I haven't come across many Lux supports lately, but in the couple that I had seen in the past, they were good enough to make their ADC almost untouchable. I mostly see Nami, Sona, Braum, and Morgana now and no Lux in sight just yet. Is she still good this season as a support?

Viable =/= optimal. Lux was most definitely viable, but she wasn't the best.

She was never really viable in my opinion. Extremely squishy with low base armor and mana problems. Gets all inned by anyone with decent engage and almost no reason to play her over any other pokey AP support (Sona/Karma/Morg).

if you are good at lux, she is a good support.

She mainly fell out of favor when Morgana showed up (black shield) and never really rose to popularity after that.

No, her mana costs are too high, only way she is ever useful as a support is if you manage to get fed and become a second ap mid.

You can play her.

She suffers against the top solo queue support picks -- Annie, Thresh, Leona, Blitzcrank all hard for her to deal with.

Also, her advantage is her range, which tends to mean you need a specialist at ADC like Caitlyn or Varus. She doesn't pair well with Graves or Sivir, which is approximately "the meta" at ADC today.

She's slightly more viable then Nidalee support.
