Duo Lane Morde makes perfect sense

Penta Penguin··2 votes·808 views

He is melee and slow, but has the best shield in the game to counterbalance this. Having the right knid of support also helps him. Siege is amazing with dragon ghost or ADC ghost.

What is there to cry about? His Q is flat out better now and W will be buffed. Why ar eyou crying?

get destroyed you rusted season 1 scrapheaps

People are crying because he's OP not UP. lol

If you don't understand the issue, you're way too new to this game.

Keeping things the way they always were, is a recipe for failure.

If it ain't broken, don't fix it, especially when the solution is objectively worse than what it's trying to fix.

franticFurball1 votes

Why is the solution worse, please explain? Because people don't like change?

Mordekaiser went from a forgotten champion to a high priority pick and ban, whos presence completely changes paradigms on the botlane, which have been on effect for well over 2 years.

That's not just a fix, that's a real evolution of the game.

He is now high priority pick and ban because he is friggin OP in bot, as well as being a forced meta change on Riot's part, how is that a good thing?

Not to mention his kit now makes no sense to his character, and he is intentionally locked out of other lanes for some sodding reason. This is not evolution.

They are fixing it, great, doesn't mean this rework launch was anywhere near the success line.

EDIT: Not all changes are great changes, some are just more BS than another.

Says who? You?

Because I say it makes perfect sense.

My opinion is as valid as yours. And now what?

If a champion that is picked barely ever suddenly becomes vastly popular, thats a huge success.

I don't mind your opinion too much but this particular sentiment is absolutely wrong.

You might as well call Feral Flare a huge success, how meta golems were completely justified and how assassin meta was a huge step forward.

Balance matters, it's not all about how much a champ is picked, but also how he fairs compared to others.

The crux of the issue is that along with becoming a more high profile champion, he lost his identity. That's the issue, it's not that he's changed, it's that CertainlyT felt the need to change him in a way that drastically altered his position in the game as well as his role as a champion. It's not a question of functionality, it never was. Riot has said, countless times that they always like to keep the core of their champions intact when their make changes.

However with Morde that wasn't the case, it also wasn't a part of a full overhaul which made it harder to accept for a lot of morde mains. At the end of the day this feels like an experiment. Even CertainlyT said that he didn't see the solo lane viability of Morde changing so drastically. He's not viable solo but that's always been his role, the intention wasn't to remove that but it's what happened.

Even the guy who redesigned it says that, he also says that they're working on fixing it. If CertainlyT himself says that, I don't understand why this argument is even ongoing.

you'tr a scrap heap at the bottom of the ocean dude

Mariana Trench level like alpha week thinking you can buy 20 health potions still

It's season 5, i played a lot of old Morde and liked it, but I like this one too

Malcha2 votes

It's not about liking it, it's about him completely losing his solo lane viability. That's the crux of the issue, along with the drastic identity change. CertainlyT admitted it himself that Mordekaiser is worse solo than he intended. He also said that he intends to fix it. I'm not even sure why this conversation is happening if the man in charge of the rework says that he made some mistakes, and those are the very mistakes most Morde mains have an issue with.

Even Rusty Blitzcrank pities you

I thought this was meant to be a sarcastic post when I read the title, you have thoroughly disappointed me OP.

His new kit is both bringing meta/strategy enforcing to a new level as well as making absolutely no sense to Morde's own character what so ever.

Not to mention duo lane Morde is a gigantic problem because he is blatantly OP there, while being utterly useless everywhere else, fk diversity yeah?

Duo lane Morde was a mistake.

5 pot limit was also a mistake right? muh HoG

How is Morde rework not a mistake?

His balance state is horrible atm, his kit does not make sense to his own character, he is even more binary than ever before and his kit offers the same amount of strategic diversity as the minions.

I heard they are nerfing his duo lane as well as buffing his solo lane next patch or the one later (and actually giving him back his W). Great, I can at least look forward to it.

Every morde bot i have played against is total garbage. You guys probably just are not used to playing against it, and need to get a feel for it.

Misery loves company. So what better than to have a support who is heavy, and metal?

Not to mention the enemy adc will only be able to click once, poor fools.

Ride into bot lane like a Haitian gangster

Ive been trying to get a game with and morde + another bruiser (aatrox) or beast man braum, go double relic shield and shove the lane for days and watch the enemy carry get all squimish, tilt, and beg for ganks.

That's what I feel happens, the lane gets shoved hard, but then you can't kill anybody if the lane is perma shoved

StealthWarden1 votes

It worked for me. You just wait until you have 2x their cs, a tri force vs pick axe double dorans, and skull F$#@ them into Rage quitting.

Penta Penguin1 votes

All you have to do is farm and control dragon, then 20 minutes and they'll wonder why you deal 2000k damage with Q

Penta Penguin1 votes

Try Morde + Riven

BakedLotion1 votes

Because it's impossible to shove him out of lane, has insane damage, and he has a support to ensure that his third q lands, which has like 516515661% AD scaling.

Stars Shaper1 votes

It doesn't make sense with his Lore.

He has been shifted from an all aorund AoE damage dealer with imba shield to a MESMASHYOU! third Q meat shield.

"lol he's strong, why are you crying?"

Maybe because he's too strong? Did you think about that? Of course not.
