Overabundance of slows and lack of counter-itemization

Need more (or at least 1 other) anti-slow item. No tenacity is not the same thing.

Typically when there’s a lot of slows, there’s also a lot of hard CC so you run mercs to counter the CC (and cuz mr) and can’t even consider swifties. But once you’re not CC’d you’re being slowed. Case and point: every Glacial augment user and every Rylais user and anyone else with a spammable or area-based slow in their kit.

######QSS/Cleanse isn’t the answer either, slows are typically either spammable abilities or applied repeatedly via rylais or are an area effect like glacial lasers.

This is targeted more at immobile champs who can’t just ignore slows with dashes and aren’t battlemages that can proc Phase Rush with ease from a distance repeatedly.

Slows in this game are so ridiculously strong and spammable, if your ability has a base CD of 10s or less it shouldn't be allowed to slow for more than 25-30%.

the problem isnt how many slows are in the game, but that they all slow for like 99%, or repeatedly apply over 10 seconds+

swifties dont beat glacial augment. mercs dont even help with rylais.

item 3009 25% slow resistance isn't all that great, but you can have Celerity on top so you just flat out have more MS when you're slowed.

Legend: Tenacity and Merc's can give you 51% Tenacity, and with Unflinching on top that's 61% (since it's multiplicative, not additive), but still you can cut down the duration of anything besides knockups by more than half.

No. Slows are litteraly the only counterplay to these melee champions that practically auto win once in melee.

I'm all for it as long as it doesn't have any damage attached to it, which would make it unattractive to divers. Immobile melees, particularly the ones that don't build Black Cleaver, need something to help them deal with kiting and getting bursted down, because they generally don't deal as much damage as other melees unless the right conditions are met (which rarely ever happens).

Another item that helps resist slows would help them out immensely, while also making Boots of Swiftness a better purchase. Either that or they could increase the slow resistance for Boots of Swiftness.
