Leblanc = Oppressive Ekko = Overpowered

Darius = Oppressive Hecarim = Overpowered

Annie = Oppressive Alistar = Overpowered

Basically, Champs whose kits are designed with little counterplay aside from just "Stay away from them" are oppressive. Generally, lane bully champs are pretty oppressive.

A champ being overpowered just means that they are too strong, usually from overtuned numbers.

Oppressive champs are often considered OP because they're so hard to play against, when it's really just a lack of knowing how to deal with those champs. That isn't to say that oppressive champs can't be OP. Annie and Leblanc were both overpowered until they got nerfed. As far as I know, Ryze was overpowered and oppressive until the most recent patch because he could perma root you with no counterplay (I don't know how hard the nerf hit him).

"Oppressive" stops being noticeable once you hit midgame.

...unless you fed him 10 kills and you still haven't learned not to chase him into bush boxes.

Yea, its people really hard to lane against that dont generally have many in lane counters, but after you get later into the game, you stop noticing it unless youve fed them to hell.

An oppressive champion is one which hard-counters other champs. As in, your life is going to be a living hell if you happen to be playing someone they shit on.

Overpowered champions are typically just numerically over-tuned.
