Something about Shaco Boxes

Why is it that they sometimes take damage from spells while invisible? As in there are some spells that don't hit them at all while others do. I do not recall Shaco boxes being able to be damages by spells unless revealed or when going into invisibility when just placed where they are still targetable. I play several games a long with my younger brother and for some odd reason, spells will SOMETIMES destroy the Shaco boxes when they are stealthed and other times the spells just pass right through.

Is there any explanation for this?

Some spells like skill shots simply check for collision with a possible target and the box didn't was checked for colision before it got invisibly. Most often that is what's happening. Or the simply registers the box as a target when invisible and causes collision.

Other times with targeted abilities they may have targeted the box before it went invisible and invisibility doesn't cancel an already targeted ability.

Most often tho its caused by abilities that deal aoe damage.

When this happens also check if there is a pink ward close by. They reveal your boxes so they can be normally targeted and damaged.
