Doesn't gentleman cho'gath also have a cigar in his splash? But ya I think because they are skin splash they aren't taken into account. But it's a pretty lame excuse.

This is what I am saying. Logically it makes no sense. To have it and then remove it for no apparent reason. It can't be because of tobacco issues, people like gragas smoke in his splash art. Etc.

Skins can have it but base models cant because the ESRB doesn't rate "extra content" the same way it does the core game.

Riot loophole- Make a 'Triumphant Graves' skin...that's just normal Graves with his cigar in splash. Sell it for 1ip/rp. Bam, "extra content."

I'd think it'd be worthwhile. But...yeah...it is fairly 'worthless' content. But so is Yi's dance scaling with movement speed. Riot does lots of cool stuff 'just cause.'

But my loophole might be kind of a slap in the face to whatever country's ESRB equivalent is.

Which might cause problems farther down the road. (Like a new champ comes out that's kind of sitting on the fence with their rating rules..when they might have just let it slide..whoever judges it might be like, welllll...we would just let it go..BUT YOU GAVE GRAVES HIS DAMN CIGAR -denies approval.)

I just cannot take this topic seriously. Even if its technically a downgrade to graves visual, its so insignificant. I just cannot imagine a person who is actually bothered by this. But to each their own I guess.

It's a censorship issue, I think. It annoyed some people cause they don't want LoL to be too kid friendly. It's not made for little kids, the target audience is more 16-30? Sure some younger and some older..but mostly late teens/mid 20's. 16yo can handle seeing a videogame character smoking and not instantly think- I GOTTA START SMOKING, IT'S SO COOL. So why remove it?

Like when the radio takes your favorite song and beeps out a word. It doesn't really take much away from the song..it's just annoying. If you can't handle a couple curse words in a song...go listen to some gospel music, but don't fuck with what I like because you sort of like it, but want it to be more 'tamed' down.

Though, at this point I think it's more just a meme/for fun/people following the leader..that kinda thing, but, originally, it had a point: censership=bad.

But Riot didn't even do it to censer it..just legal stuff so they don't have to disban some of their servers or pay extra people just to convert some splash arts every time they get updated. Like old Karthus/Sion and their exposed bones. (That's illegal some places too, and for every time they changed anything about them..they had to go back and re-check the alternative version to make sure it worked...and were still ok with legal stuff.)

Well it strikes people Lore wise. To have it and then it suddenly disappears. Even in the league of legends animation he had his cigar. So i mean. They just removed it no reason, and there is no "i suddenly quit smoking" in his lore that I know of anyway.

In a characters story, it makes no sense to suddenly just remove something they have and expect it to be Canon in some way.
