Why? Is it really that much more fun starring at a grey screen and losing the game than it is to play the role you get autofilled to every once in a while?

I didn't ask for playing support though. It breaks the concept of draft. If I wanna play a random role, I'll call fill or play blind. I know Riot wants to shorten the queues for everyone but spending an extra 5 mins to not waste a 30 mins is what I call worth. And yes it ruins the game for 5 people.

To answer your question more directly, there's no real difference. I'll end up 0/10, inting or trying to play anyway. There is a very logical reason why I don't call support which is that I fucking suck at it.

I learned how to play kind of correct 2 roles, give me a break. I'm not gonna learn how to play every position.

Even if autofill is once every ~10 games, that one time lasts for 30 minutes. And it's long as fuck.

if you suck at a roll then being forced to play it is good for you! People like you make this game terrible. if you're going to play then don't just play one position, you will eventually get the role you don't want, so might as well be good at it right?

But it's not "add 5 mins". It's whoever qued as top/mid gets a game. The first surplus of top/mid gets to wait and extra 30 seconds. The second top/mid in line gets to wait an extra 1 min. The fifth top/mid gets 2 and a half mins. Number 50 top/mid surplus gets to wait an extra 25 mins. Can you imagine how frustrating it'll be to wait that long to suddenly look away for 11 seconds and have to wait the whole 25 mins again?

That's why "fill" is an option. Don't wanna wait? Fine. Select fill, because I assure you, people that don't care about waiting to get their role ONLY want to play their role. Not some fucking tree-filled pseudo-lane they never queued for. Why create a mode where you can select what you want to play if you don't even allow the players to get those roles? Bring back teambuilder.

I'd rather get my role 95% of the time with short ques than have to either que as fill every time or wait for super long que times.

It used to be "must be somewhat proficient in all roles for ranked", just cause it was draft didn't mean you got your role, the pick order didn't always give you an option

you said "I'll int my ass off" referring to being auto filled, that is what makes this game terrible. Don't get mad because you get autofilled, it happens to everyone.

If you don't know how to play all positions, learn them so when you are autofilled you are actually useful.
