Yeah. THe learning curve is super hard. There is SO MUCH more, you need to know how to pull, proper laning, roaming, and the builds are more confusing.

Dota is harder tho. And feels like shit to play too. Production value and level of Polish in Dota is must lower. People just say it looks better due to the art direction being more realistic. The feedback in just about everything is non existent and it feels floaty as shit

I used to be that /r/dotamasterrace guy, but after 2000 hours I realized that the game isn't fun. Bugs can appear on the front page of the dota subreddit and be fixed within a day, but QoL changes take forever to even be acknowledged. Honestly I only switched over to League because it had region locks. You could play 5 games and have 4 of them you would have a team of Peruvians.

but i digress.

That's Battleborn, not Overwatch. Overwatch is just an arena shooter with simple objectives. If giving characters abilities makes it a MOBA, then Black Ops III is a MOBA.

It has many traits that a MOBA has, including unique heroes with multiple abilities, objectives to get as a team, etc. It practically is a MOBA, just in the first person. The only thing different is the perspective.

That's like saying GTA (1997) has nothing in common with GTA V, since one is viewed from birds eye view, while another is just over the character. The concept at its core are the same: get money, hijack cars, avoid the cops, kill people, blow shit up, etc.

What i liked about dota that carries don't have to be 600 range and all heroes are useful. What i didn't like is the scaling of mages i mean there is no ap so your skills do the same damage after you max them out.

So you're saying he is right.

The best DotA players can easily get toward the top of the ladder in League, while a Challenger League player would struggle to climb in DotA.

There are more mechanics to DotA and as sharp as a learning curve that you might think League has, DotA is ten times greater. Hell, just the concept of denying and turn speeds is something that would make the average League player rage quit.

I only play LoL since my laptop can hardly run the other two games. I want to play DotA, but those 3D environments will screw my hardware up. Played a bit of HotS, given that there are some of my favorite Blizzard characters there. Was disappointed.

Funny story my co-worker said league takes no skill, he's bronze 5 31% winrate, I was a dota player before league, I was a one trick pony who got to 4900 mmr playing Riki, but I quit years ago and still play league, where I recently hit diamond 1 and trying super hard for the master tier :) I still think this game is very challenging, playing with other people is always a challenge -after 4 years of being high MMR on dota I'll tell you, it's CaCa poopoo, I league is much more balanced (pls memes aside) but yeah XD

The most challenging part of LOL is playing with the ppl imo, they tilt, throw, spin, cry, bitch, whine and sometimes they play and do well, but mostly the latter.
