Darius has been in a sad spot for the longest time, will he ever receive love?

I've been maining Darius since his release in 2012 and fell in love with this champ, he is my favorite champion in the entire game due to his lore(please don't change) and the way he looks/plays.

A general who opposes all who stand against him and kills cowards, allies or foes, what isn't there to love about this guy?

But he's had the shaft towards him for a long time, his release state was strong and deserved a nerf, mainly to his ult grace period, but after that he was arguably balanced until the ult reset removal.

Now the ult reset removal would have been fine if he had received SOME compensation, but alas he hasn't received any.

Morello and Scruffy talked about how they were going to rework Darius to be less melee oppressive and more teamfight healthy while still delivering his theme of a powerful general. He would snowball less heavy but if he manages to snowball, he will be hard to shut down. They also wanted to make him a teamfight time bomb, the longer he stays in the fight, the worse it will be for the enemy as he will tear you to shreds.

Darius in his current form is not great, when he's strong he gives you no chance to fight, when he's weak he has no chance to come back in the game.

Ever played against a fed Darius? He just won't die and requires an entire team to fight him.

Ever played against a feeding Darius? He dies by you deciding to fight him as he has no tool to get back in the game besides ksing.

Which leads to another point: Why does his kit revolve around him taking all of the kills but not using the gold effectively whatsoever?

All in all, I do want Darius to receive some love and potentially a rework, he's been in a sad spot since the ult nerf and isn't really a good pick in todays game when you can pick someone who has more mobility, tankiness, and damage over Darius who is only there to take kills.

I would give ideas but every time I try to post ideas on boards I'm told his kit is fine, every time I say he needs buffs to his current kit I am told his kit is toxic.
