Does anybody think Darius is balanced?

Honest question, don't give me the whole his winrate is around 50% so he's balanced, or that he got a buff last patch, does anybody honestly think he's balanced?

I can't play Darius and think he's either absolutely stupid to play against in one situation, or absolutely useless in another.

He either becomes an absolute god from feeding himself so much, or will be the most useless, and ignorable champion in another situation.

He either tears the entire enemy team to shred, or can never touch any of them without being kited to hell and back.

Now him being kited wouldn't be a bad thing if he could actually TANK WITHOUT BEING 100% RELIANT ON ITEMS, but alas, this doesn't happen.

I think he isn't balanced personally, I think he's weak right now, and isn't that terrifying in most games. The games where I do become a monster aren't satisfying, I played a Jax game, when I was ahead of my laner, I could abuse him all I wanted all day.

When I'm Darius and I'm ahead, I can't abuse them because I can't get to my opponents, Riven, Jax, Irelia, etc. can just get in and get out if they want to, their dives are safer, along with their snowballing.

Darius isn't that great in snowballing as hard as before.

Considering Riot wants to rework the chunky bastard, probably not.

I've never seen him as very much of a threat, and the only really broken thing was when his R used to refresh on assists that happened during the casting time on his ult. He's either a melee's nightmare or a ranger's farm fest, but a smart melee can just outplay him and get jungler ganks early on.

They said he is no longer getting a rework and are looking to buff him instead.

They never said they were going to fully rework him, they were going to put him through a procedural rework; basically, fixing up specific parts of his kit over time.

And I doubt they're just going to straight buff him every time they work on him. There will probably be kit tweaks everywhere.

Yeah he's a completely hot or cold champ. He's either single handedly screwing the enemy team or screwing his. Not a very healthy champ imo.

His kit was poorly put together. When his numbers are a bit high he just runs over everyone. When they are a bit low he can't fight anyone. So he's been moved to the "Garen" level and left. Someone that is "easy" (from Riot's point of view) for people to learn the game with. He is not that flashy, but he suffers from the same problems as the other champions made by the same champion designer. He's fully feast or famine. No real middle ground with counter play.
