I can't help but think this is a huge mistake and it's gonna get taken away in a patch or two.

You're telling me I can be losing lane and get all my cs unpunished or push super fast and roam and be back before the wave? Yes please.

I'm confused. If you are losing lane you aren't going to buy a tiamat now because it pushes your wave and you are losing hence the enemy is just going to freeze it at their tower.

If you are winning your lane then yes free pushing so you can make plays elsewhere, that's the point of winning your lane, tiamat will help with that.
