Finally got Gold after 2 years of trying.

After two years, over four thousand games, several chat restrictions and three 14 day bans, I finally got Gold. Turns out in the end, it wasn't that hard, even if it was incredibly frustrating.

So what was the difference between being permastuck in Silver and getting to Gold? Glad you ask. Turns out, all I needed to do was play ONLY my best roles and champions when playing ranked, something I can never do on this account. That LAN account is new and only has a handful of champions so what happened was I played on this one, the one I'm posting on currently, when I felt like playing random shit but only played my main role and champions when I played that LAN account. The result was a consistent win rate. I wasn't losing games because I suddenly felt the urge to feed my ass off on Kayn. Also, I have far better ping on LAN than I ever did on NA.

There's a bit more to getting out of Silver than that but that was the main reason I succeeded here. I may write a more detailed post in the future but for now, I'm just chilling.

Generally you just want to pick a few champs and get comfortable with them, then you can happily go play ranked and as long as your skill with those champs and macro is up to par you´ll likely find a posetive winrate which will see you climbing, even if possibly slowly.

Bonus points if you have champs you like for at least 2 lanes+ emergency supports(autofill has no chill) or even main support as your off role.

There never really was any big secret to it, at least that is how i saw it O_O

I mean sure you can go for OP picks or use some cheese strategy but the desired end result is just to get a posetive winrate which to be honest is easier to do if you simply improve your gameplay sufficiently which in turn is easier to do by playing properly.

I bet you insult many of your teammates as garbage etc? But stuck in silver yourself. Such irony.

Congrats. That’s my goal this year. Hit silver for first time last year. Now I’m gonna go for gold.

Congrats dude! I'm hoping to get gold for the first time this season too. Started B4, and I'm 2 wins away from S1 now. Been silver since season 3.

Three 14 day bans with no perma ban? I thought you were supposed to get perma banned after one 14 day ban LOL! Now that is the real accomplishment!
