"High Skill" Champions

Can we make it so that rito's version of high skill champs (aka Yasuo, Lee Sin, Apheleos to name a few) don't have the absurd safety and actually need to land their full combos to be effective? I'm tired of lee sin landing q and just jumping it and killing because that was a hard to land slow moving skill shot and he should be rewarded by not needing to use any other ability to kill. I would at least like him to use his ult and need an auto to kill me on my less meta picks.

Early game Lee sin isn't hard to pull off. It's mid and late game Lee sin that require good mechanics to dance around teamfights shielding allies and flanking to kill the enemy backline.

Their concept of a "high skill champion" is having a few dashes to look complicated and then slap more damage on everything for compensation. There is not 1 "high skill champion" that is hard to play. It is literally harder to play a champion with less dps then their favorite "hard" champions.

Lee Sin is the only champion I'd consider to have an absurd amount of safety on that list, Yasuo is only mobile around enemy units such as minions, and Aphelios has no mobility at all, infact when I play jungle and see an enemy aphelios I get excited because its free ganks unless he has his gravity gun equipped.

Those three suffer from completely different design flaws.

  • Yasuo's problem is that when piloted skillfully, the champion can negate all of his innate weaknesses against most ranged champions.
  • Lee's problem is the existence of Lethality items. Remember when he went Cleaver into tank? Me too.
  • Aphelios' problem is that he isn't hard, he's just complicated. Nothing he does is difficult, but it's kinda hard for the devs to balance his combos because there are just too damn many of them.

Aphelios has no safety lol and yasuo has a windwall but he losses most melee matchups because that doesnt matter.

How is Aphelios safe?

While I agree that champion is stupid design, he's far from safe.
