I'm not saying ignites is a problem...
But wasn't TP nerfed for the reason that 2 people on a team took it each match in pro and now ignite is sitting here with 2+ people taking it per match in solo.

Key phrase "in pro" then "in solo" Pro is what matters solo does not.
TP ws nerfed because everyone in pro play picked it because its an utra-safe summoner spell. Oh, your botlane is ganked? No problem, 4 man tp there just to scare them away We need to splitpush? Just go and tp back if fight starts
Meanwhile ignite deals somewhat crazy damage for being a free targeted spell, but for it to do anything meaningful you actually have to fight. You have to risk being outplayed and killed, being baited for a gank, wasting your spells+ignite while enemy escapes at 10% hp etc
Ignite is taken on midlane, which was the traditional summoner spell on the lane, but you can pretty much take anything now.
Sometimes in top lane, even though TP is just better for that lane, because if you kill with ignite, the enemy just tp's back and you are suddenly a level down.
On support, you can take either exhaust or ignite. Not to mention that nowadays ad carries run teleport in a lot of games.
TP was nerfed for it's Pro play presence , I won't find it weird if it gets nerfed again
Also, Ignite doesn't stack. (Your whole team can't just walk up to an enemy and ignite him to death.)
