Burst beats sustain, tanks mitigate burst, and sustain can whittle down tanks.

Rito Philosophy-

Burst beats Sustain, Tank loses to Burst, and Burst counters Burst.

How to Balance:

Common Philosophy-

Burst too strong increase defenses of champs or nerf damage, Tanks too strong decrease utility of tanks or increase % stat shred items or remove some defenses or nerf damage of tanks, Sustain too strong increase cd of heal and shields or increase cc or increase damage of burst items and/or burst ratios

Rito Philosophy-

Burst too strong give damage to tanks and sustain, tanks too strong give more damage to sustain and burst, sustain too strong damage of tanks and burst

I agree with the mentality, but there is an important thing to remember about these balance changes. If a tank’s damage gets buffed, the damage in the game will actually lower. While contradictory, it’s logical that the tank will be picked more and, since he still has less damage than the bruiser, will end up removing damage. On the other hand, buffing armor/MR won’t actually make much of a difference, since there are now so many ways to play around this factor. The only option left is to buff hp, but this would transform tanks into litteral stat-sticks. Can you see the problem? One option would be to make tank item build more accessible, adding a item 1028 to some tank item recipe. However, this seems like it would break Ornn . Do you have any more ideas?

Im just starting to think defensive stats should scale differently for classes tbh if we cant buff tanks or their items.
