Anyone Feel Like Riot Is Pushing Away Solo Players?

This isn't necessarily a rage post, but more of a "what can we do better" post:

  • Report System is biased towards qued players, leaving solo players with no say/constantly being turned into the scapegoat
  • Due to the new dynamic que, some would argue communication has gone down because some teams ignore the solo que players
  • Solo Que players even have a lower chance for hextech crafting materials from games, as they go up the more people you are qued with

What, if anything, can Riot do to help solo players? I feel as though they are left out/forgotten about while Riot pushes for their team game.

P.S.- I do have my own teammates, but enjoy playing solo a decent amount as well. I enjoy meeting new people and learning from others, as playing with the same people over and over again can feel repetitive/unrewarding for myself, it's just a personal preference really.

Even though i agree with you, i dont think Riot is pushing away solo players. The fact that they introduce us clubs and premade rewards is (for me) their way to say "Hey, we rather you play with other people". In my opinion its not pushing away, but trying to get you to play with other people.

I completely disagree with that. I am a solo player, always have and always will and i think they shouldnt try to force people to play with premades. It would be nice if they do some ip bonus if you play alone, or maybe if you play alone and you get s or more? I dont know.

The thing is they think they're trying to encourage players to play with premades, but they're** forcing** it. Which is wrong.

No it's not. It only takes 1 report for a game to be sent to Riot. More don't do anything.

And yes, Riot is trying to encourage players to play with friends. The game sucks solo. It did before, and it still does now.

Personal opinions m8. This is news to me, I always thought multiple reports had more impact/meaning to the system

The system used to work like that, but extra reports haven't been worth anything for several years now. The problem is that it's just really hard to kill that idea when "Report this guy" has turned into an insult.

I didn't start playing until the early stages of S5, and probably haven't even begun to understand the game itself yet, let alone it's systems like the report system xD I guess there isn't much to do about the report system then, but the way Riot is handling things is still kind of promoting making solo players the scapegoats of most games :/

Thanks for the info though :)

I think the question is does Riot want to do anything for solo players? I guess there's the true solo queue that will come out... someday. But they are putting a lot more effort in the team-oriented stuff.

What can Riot do to help solo players? Give solo players rewards, too... I'm tired of "IP Weekend" or whatever events where you get more IP, but only if you're in a group. Now there's also the chests from hextech crafting that clearly prioritizes premade teams.

I doubt they're going to change anything, though. They really, really want people to play together.

I understand that it's a team game, but I personally love watching teamwork come together with a bunch of randos. Finding new people that you have amazing synergy with is so exciting for me, it just sucks that I'm almost getting punished for it ya'know? [zombie-nunu-bummed]

Shorter queue times would be a start. These long queue times feel like a punishment.

  • Report System is biased towards qued players, leaving solo players with no say/constantly being turned into the scapegoat Completely untrue.

  • Due to the new dynamic que, some would argue communication has gone down because some teams ignore the solo que players True, but nobody really communicated well anyway. In my experiance the most " communication " i've had is timing spells in chat ( I've played in every elo bronze 5 - diamond 4 since S3.

-- Solo Que players even have a lower chance for hextech crafting materials from games, as they go up the more people you are qued with Agreed. Think just because I don't want to que with premades doesn't mean I should be punished. Also, queing as premade 5 can make things VERY EASY because there's a 5% chance the enemy team won't be premade.
